I fail to see a correlation between people screeching variations of "forced induction is more efficient!!! Reclaimed energy!!!" and anything I've said.

Took a ride to the center of Sweden today!

The fearings are off because they need repair but the bike runns really good :D

Would definitely appreciate some tank grips though, my synthetic bike pants don't have much grip

I spent $2500 on building my PC and all i do with it is play no games atm & watch anime at 1080p(finally) watch YT and write essays...  nothing, it just sits there collecting dust...

Builds:

The Toaster Project! Northern Bee!

The original LAN PC build log! (Old, dead and replaced by The Toaster Project & 5.0)

Spoiler

Yah i have a leather set, it's just lacking proper armour so I don't take it if I'm going outside of town. Tank grips are cheaper than a new set of pants too :P

Installed foot lighting today. Pretty happy with the results. I got this for Christmas but haven't gotten around to installing them till now. (Highest end models have this, but mid and basic ones do not)

Yeah those will get cleaned out soon. Most of that is salt from this year.

Gotta call them back Monday (transmission guys don't work weekends apparently) last time I called was Wednesday and they still haven't gotten back to me.

I've been looking at 2006 Impala SS's and Pontiac G8s in Nashville for when my boyfriend and I meet up because I have low hopes of a Saab 9-7X being available when him and I end up in Nashville.

As long as you keep in mind the Impala SS of that gen is FWD, and the G8 is RWD, G8 also came with either a V6 or a V8 . So keep those in mind

Not a fan of that gen of Impala personally. Been dailying one for the last few years. The fit and finish just isn't there for the price IMO

I'd keep my eye out for a XWD 9-3 , either an Aero or the 2.0T would bring a lot of fun for the price

Progress of my built 1.9:

image3.thumb.jpeg.1343660bf840f502a713845106b1dfab.jpeg

IMG_1546.thumb.jpg.0990071b71ab90de5349f9be27aa7812.jpgimage1.thumb.jpeg.9af93a161d6e7bfa2d67d3cd29e0801e.jpegimage2.thumb.jpeg.94d2d0f33df0f56be4bd2c736cab7c1f.jpeg

Work done to block by Scroggins Machine:

Decked .004"

Overbore to 84mm and Hone

Hot Tank and Magnaflux

Crank was cleaned and lightly polished, using STD size bearings

Cost for the machine work was $450.

I haven't had much time to work on it, but so far I have filed the Wiseco rings to a .017" end gap on the top ring, .019" second ring. I've put the rings on the pistons and installed the Eagle connecting rods to the Supertechs. Sore thumbs from those wrist pin clips :(

Tomorrow I am putting the block back on the stand and finishing the rotating assembly. I was waiting on that Wiseco ring compressor since I have had poor luck with those 'universal' ring compressors. These rings were not cheap either -_- There's still a lot of things I need to get, totaling about $750 still to have it ready to drop in. But the engine in my car is still running okay after fixing the vacuum leaks, so I've bought some time..

Still have to get:

Boundary oil pump gears

Gates water pump

Cometic .040" MLS head gasket

Mazda OEM engine gasket set

VS855 valve springs

Alternator, small accessories, etc.

And speaking of valve springs, I'm dropping off the cylinder head at Scroggins on Monday, I have it all apart but like I said before I don't really have time especially with a cylinder head lol and I'd rather let someone more experienced than me do it especially with how much power it is going to make.

Appreciate any feedback, let me know what y'all think of the build :D

yeah, the G8s I've seen are V6s which doesn't bother me too much.

the Saab 9-7X Aero would be sweet but frankly I accept that I'm probably gonna either get the lesser V8 or the same Inline 6 that's in my mom's trailblazer. Which I mean the Vortec 4200 (LL8) as it's called in the trailblazer is a fine engine it seems but man an LS based engine would be super cool.

Frankly being a 19 year old male who's just gonna be getting their full license sometime this year after being on an instruction permit for the last 4 years, insuring an inline-6 or V6 is going to hurt a lot less than insuring any type of V8 lol

The 9-7X Aero is super cool, and I'd love to own one. But even the 5.3 equipped one is good to throw some power at if you wanted to. I'd strongly recommend looking at some Saab 9-3s and 9-5s. Super comfy, make good power stock, and can make even better power when you turn up the boost :D

Not really worried about the looks though, more so that it will hold a lot of boost!
