Don't lump me in with them. I'm an enthusiast of mechanic design, be it engines, weaponry, or productive machinery. Not a guy with a wrench that reads the marketing garbage AFE/insert other "enthusiast" brand that can't legally warranty half of their products.

I fail to see a correlation between people screeching variations of "forced induction is more efficient!!! Reclaimed energy!!!" and anything I've said.

If you can't be civil. Please leave

Edit. That goes for everyone in the thread

idk how you use your airbreaks when accelerating tbh

Does it make the sound with every gear shift or just randomly? I have two trucks on the farm here with air brakes and they will randomly "blow off" excess pressure with a loud PSSSHHHH. Will be posting a few pics of those trucks shortly BTW. Been trying to get them going to sell them, but they're being stubborn, lol.

@MEC-777 IndyCar is scheduled to go to COTA starting in 2019 and today was a Firestone tire test. ex-Marussia driver Rossi was there lapping (unofficially) 1:47s, which is on pace with a 2016 spec Audi R18 e-tron quattro LMP1 but still 15 seconds slower than last year's Mercedes-AMG F1 lap.

15 seconds is an eternity. Didn't think there'd be that much of a gap. But regardless, Indy puts on a much better show. ;)

Never used to like COTA after trying it a few times. But now that we've done a few league races there, it's starting to grow on me... Very technical track.

88 Ford L9000 with a Cummins turbo (not sure which version). And a 90's Western Star plow truck with a CAT turbo diesel inline 6. The Western Star fired right up but the L9000 is just refusing to run. Tried some quickstart and it kicks for a second but then just continues cranking. I don't think it's getting fuel, so now begins the fun process of figuring out why. Not too familiar with these big diesels so it will be a good learning experience anyways.

Drove the Western Star around the yard a bit. What a strange feeling. Doesn't help that the power steering doesn't work, lol.

Some semi transmissions have air assist for switching between high and low gear splits I think? I'm not really familiar with them all that much.

Ya not bad given they're several hundred hp down without ERS to boost, but they have less draggy aero on their side so theres that. I was lucky enough to see the cars this year at Honda Indy and they look amazing, so much better than the old body kits. Shame about Wickens... still feeling that one. Happy that Ericsson is going to SPM to team up with Hinch though.

The first sector of COTA was my most dreaded but after doing sportscars there for a while it's pretty fun. The last sector with the long sweeper similar to Russia... that's a blast to get right.

Yeah, the Western Star has flap on the shifter to switch between high/low which is pneumatic-operated.

I just need to multiply by 2 to get the cost here ..

One the air system in a truck reaches full pressure (12 bar) then it does blow off and stops the compressor. Stops the system from over pressurising

Needs money for car parts :P

I'm in about $2500ish. From the shopping I did before I started the project a similarly built pre-manufactured shed would be around $7500.

Got another good chunk of the shed done today!

I left the office a couple hours early in order to get the siding started. It's coming right along:

Yes I have a lot of yard cleanup to do, I know. I've been ignoring it for a while hoping it'll blow into someone else's yard.

Now just put the focus in it ? What do you mean it's not big enough?... The Door's not wide enough? Clearly you didnt think this through at all. Only the most important things go in a shed (Like my old car parts LOL)

I rent a single garage nearby my house to store all my parts and tools...but now I need to try and find a SECOND one to rent, to put the actual car...

Alternatively I find someone who's willing to share/has space in their unit, so I can work on the damn thing. But I'm coming up short with that atm :(

Officially SORN as of yesterday. Lets hope it won't gain permanent project car status...

That's your fuck up, weirdo. Everyone knows that the proper place for ild car parts is the guest bedroom.

Come Bloody Angel

Break off your chains

And look what I've found in the dirt.

Pale battered body

Seems she was struggling

Something is wrong with this world.

Fierce Bloody Angel

The blood is on your hands

Why did you come to this world?

Everybody turns to dust.

Everybody turns to dust.

The blood is on your hands.

The blood is on your hands!

Pyo.

People here tend to be DIY kinda people, so projects get some interest.

The door is only 6ft wide so the Focus won't fit, plus it's only 12ft deep so the ass would hang out even if I could get it in the door; but it is made large enough for the motorcycles! :D

Atleast you have places like that near you

Theres no rented garages round here big enough to even fit a car in for storage let alone work on

Needs money for car parts :P

I mean we're talking barely here, most modern cars wouldn't fit. I had maybe an inch either side of my mirrors when I did actually try parking in it, with only a tiny bit more width once past the doorframe...

Good job nobody was there to witness how ungraceful it was, a 6'4 dude trying to get out of a car with a low seating position, long doors, and the smallest garage imaginable :D :D  It was like vertical limbo.
