This looks interesting. Cars turns over, in fact it has a new starter and some other parts, but it only runs on starter fluid. Looks like it might be fuel pump, lines clogged, filter, or injectors or something else with the fuel system. That or maybe the coil packs or something else with the wiring. For $2000 though, it's a Supra, shouldn't cost much more to get it running on its own:

I think I might jump on this, at least go take a look at it and if it goes well trailer it home. I can use the extra money to get the car running well. Newer 7M-GE with 76K miles, should last at least a few years before the head comes loose as they do. Plus it comes with a lot of parts already so I'm sure I can get it back with some man hours. New paint and everything too, this car is gorgeous.

 

I just texted him as well, compression is great across the cylinders. I'll have to see what my parents say.

Unrelated but this is the serial number on the boats kicker engine. Its a Mercury 10 (9.8?) horse 2 cyl 2 stroke. 837 1903

I have no idea what the key needed is , tbh . Now the switch option looks awesome , doesnt it :P 

 

Most ouboards of that size i have worked on had a rod inside a rod kinda steering system , rather than a cable system , so i can only guess how it operates . But , as you already pointed out , it needs changing . 

 

Take the kicker motor off , put it on a minibike ...

Could happen. I did get it in writing though, and I'm sure he isn't like that.

 

In the mean time I'm waiting for my dad to get home, I want to see what he thinks of the Supra I linked. My mom doesn't like it because it doesn't run but she doesn't know anything about cars and how it's pretty simple to fix fuel issues.

What does everyone here think of Volvo? Classic and modern? As long as I can remember, my family has had a Volvo S60, we're on our third one now (2014 T5) that I steal a couple times a week to get around. From what I've seen, they're not the most well built cars, but the engines are fairly reliable and they are very nice to drive. I'm slowly looking for a car, and I was thinking maybe a C30? Then there's also the classic P1800 that I think would make for a fantastic EV conversion down the line when I can afford it.

9 hours can be a pain as well. 8 hours of my working hours are allocated to me sleeping in the on call room. But i hate sleeping at work.. The bed is too soft.

i will have 9h ... well 8h if you dont count the 1h total in breaks ... of talking ... unless noone needs help .. then i will be bored to death ....
