Want Fast RAM? G.Skill has you covered.

Princess Luna

We all know it is pointless yet... G.SKILL Releases World's Fastest DDR4-4700MHz Trident Z RGB Memory Kit.

Despite the growing madness with the lack of supply and higher demands leading to worldwide shortages of memory, one of the most famous brands in the market is releasing its fastest ever version of the world known G.Skill Trident Z RGB, the DDR4-4700MHz CL19-19-19-39 1.45V 16GB (2x8GB) certified kit targets enthusiasts rocking the i7 8700k as it's XMP profile has been validated on this platform:

Quote

This ultimate memory kit is achieved with highly-screened, high-performance Samsung DDR4 B-die ICs and validated on the MSI Z370I GAMING PRO CARBON AC motherboard and Intel Core i7-8700K processor.

qZEyJjh.jpgAesthetically one of the most desired kits.

Quote

Designed for high-stability, this Trident Z RGB DDR4-4700MHz memory kit has proven itself through stress-testing on the MSI Z370I GAMING PRO CARBON AC motherboard and Intel® Core™ i7-8700K processor. Please see the testing screenshot below. This ultra-fast G.SKILL Trident Z RGB memory kit is equipped with the latest Intel XMP 2.0 profile for easy one-click memory overclocking, and will be available from authorized G.SKILL distribution partners in 2018 Q2.

Personally speaking this is just silly, we have no software that can take advantage from this ludicrous frequency and the latency is not entirely desirable... should these companies slow down  a bit and focus on actually making the supply demands require first? What do you think?

Cheers!

I don't see what's pointless about ram that is so fast that nothing can use it and nobody can afford it.....

next thing you'll say is that those rgb lights don't add 10hp.... course it does

Now I'm looking forward to Linus using these for RAM disks and the like. I'm using 800 MHz DDR2, so this is a bit faster (only by nearly 4 freaking GHz!!!).

Main System: Phobos

Secondary System: York

Intel Core i7-2600 (4C/8T), ASUS P8Z68-V/GEN3, 16GB GEIL Enhance Corsa DDR3 1600MHz, Zotac GeForce GTX 550 Ti 1GB, 240GB ADATA Ultimate SU650, Windows 10 Pro for Workstations

Older File Server: Yet to be named

maybe they're making extra cash off the supply shortages and they don't want to deal with price fixing allegations so they make arguably pointless ram sticks they know they have little to no chance of selling knowing those costs will be offset and then some by the profits from their more reasonable product lines, but they protect themselves from being accused of withholding stock or anything legally nefarious...

can we please focus more on timings, bandwidth is great and all but i would like less latency.

and btw where is C-die memory, i thought that by this time we would be seeing more kits with it.

Give me high speed low latency DDR3 and I'll be happy.

Increasing the frequency actually decreases latency as long as the timings aren't loosened too far.

How many bets for Linus putting it in a system and call it a 'Budget-orientated build' xD

which hasn't been happening especially on stock 2400 mhz ram, for example if you search for 2400mh ddr4 you get mostly cl16 kits, i can get better perf with a cheap ddr3 kingston 1600mhz kit (2400mhz cl13,13...)

My DDR3 1600MHz CL9 T1 did 2200MHz CL10 T2 on stock volts.

Now my Patriot kit does 2200MHz CL9 T1 or 2400MHz CL10 T2.

So, the fastest AVX512 machine is also gonna be the prettiest.

Come Bloody Angel

Break off your chains

And look what I've found in the dirt.

Pale battered body

Seems she was struggling

Something is wrong with this world.

Fierce Bloody Angel

The blood is on your hands

Why did you come to this world?

Everybody turns to dust.

Everybody turns to dust.

The blood is on your hands.

The blood is on your hands!

Pyo.
