First PC Build for Gaming and GameDev £1000

(Dont mind the formating. Im copy-pasting from the r/buildapcforme subreddit)

What will you be doing with this PC? Be as specific as possible, and include specific games or programs you will be using.

Something I can game on while still use it to do some Game Dev in Unity (eventually Unreal as well). I play mostly online multiplayer titles like Valorant but I intend to play some more intensive games once I have my build done like Baldur's Gate and the most recent Assassins Creed. I also want to eventually stream but it gaming and game dev take precedent

What is your maximum budget before rebates/shipping/taxes?

My budget is £1000 ( I am flexible around this).

When do you plan on building/buying the PC? Note: beyond a week or two from today means any build you receive will be out of date when you want to buy.

As soon as possible (not in a rush, I don't mind waiting some weeks for some deals)

What, exactly, do you need included in the budget? (Tower/OS/monitor/keyboard/mouse/etc)

Tower and headset

Which country (and state/province) will you be purchasing the parts in? If you're in US, do you have access to a Microcenter location?

I live in West London, UK.

If reusing any parts (including monitor(s)/keyboard/mouse/etc), what parts will you be reusing? Brands and models are appreciated.

I already use a Pixio PX247 24 inch 144Hz 1080p, KEMOVE Snowfox DK61 60% Mechanical Gaming Keyboard Wireless/Wired Bluetooth 5. 1 and a corsair wired usb mouse that I don't know the name of. I also have a usb hub to connect my multiple peripherals like the ones I mentioned and my current headset and webcam.

Will you be overclocking? If yes, are you interested in overclocking right away, or down the line? CPU and/or GPU?

Since I am still fairly new to pc building I am still confused about the benefits of overclocking. From my understanding it is just a chip going Super Saiyan and working faster. And while fast is always better, I am not sure how beneficial that is for me and what are the drawbacks

Are there any specific features or items you want/need in the build? (ex: SSD, large amount of storage or a RAID setup, CUDA or OpenCL support, etc)

Wifi capability is a must. I want my build to be very future proof so I can continuously and slowly upgrade it (maybe next black Friday). If I could avoid HDD and only have SSD that would be optimal.

Do you have any specific case preferences (Size like ITX/microATX/mid-tower/full-tower, styles, colours, window or not, LED lighting, etc), or a particular colour theme preference for the components?

This is not super important to me. I'm all about the performance. That being said I am not a fan of RGB and like subtill/minimalistic design.

Do you need a copy of Windows included in the budget? If you do need one included, do you have a preference?

I'll install windows 11 once it is built.

All help is appreciated 🙂

Overclocking is risky if you are new to that, and as the overclocked parts get more voltage/current they produce more heat, so you need a 360mm aio for that, and the overclocked parts will damage if not cooled correctly. I do not recommend OC-ing.

My build with some parts swapped, because your budget is more than mine was:

Ryzen 5 5600x with stock cooler (fine with stock cooler, good speeds)

Gigabyte B550M aorus elite AX

2x Kingston Fury Beast 2x8gb kit (32gb is good for the things you listed, you can buy the rgb version if you want rgb)

Kingston Nv2 1tb ssd (m.2, affordable)

Any 6700XT (Sapphire nitro+ if you canr extend your budget by like $100-150, if not then buy gigabyte eagle)(or Nvidia card but it is pricey as hell, but better for streaming)

Corsair rm750x (modular, so no useless cables)

Montec X3 mesh case (with 6 case fans preinstalled)

I am using the same cpu and gpu, works so well, you can get an 1440p monitor for that gpu as well.

The good thing is that the m.2 ssd is green (ugly), but the gpu will hide it.

The prices may alter in your country, and depend on the website you order from.

The case fans are RGB but later you can buy  some no rgb ones.
