Both Nvidia and Intel can be very scummy with their business practices, this is quite believable imo.

I don't think that's completely true, my 6800XT Ref MBA card hits 2620Mhz with a 194** Timespy graphics score. Totally luck of the drawer.

Managed to get a 6800XT on launch day and it's pretty damn awesome! Have it paired with a 10700k@5Ghz and a Iiyama 3440x1440p Ultrawide and it's all just buttery smooth
