AMD Lawsuit. Where do I sign up?

After watching the WAN show, I'm furious! However, after a quick Google search, I'm even more pissed! I can't find ANYWHERE that actually even mentions who is representing the consumers, or anything of the sort. How do I sign up for it? Sorry if this is posted in the wrong area, but I noticed no one else even had a thread about it yet.

the benchmarks that came out right after release didnt show the 3.5GB issue. It was discovered 3-6 months later

You dont do anything unless they win or is a settlement. This most likely will fail. It isn't like the one where intel actually manipulated the performance benchmarks of the Pentium 4

The "issue" does not impact those gaming benchmarks. Numbers don't change because someone found out something new about the card. They should have disclosed the proper specs of course, but anyone who purchased the card shouldn't really feel entitled to anything more than they got, because I strongly doubt any of them went and looked at the architecture chart to make a decision about the purchase. Same goes with bulldozer cpus, except amd disclosed everything from the start.

There is a class action lawsuit against AMD for how they advertise their core count for the Bulldozer family of chips. AMD's cores are partially combined and share resources which makes it debatable if an 8350 is 8 cores or 4 core like things. Linus simplified it by saying they are 4x1.5 cores because they share parts

 

AMD was clear about the cores sharing resources and such in their press releases and core design diagrams. This seems to be more geared for the people who bought an AMD system at bestbuy which just had a placard that said 6 or 8 cores

If it actually goes through. Then you will be able to pick up 20~30 dollars because of it.

 

In a couple of years of time. Lawsuits like these ones takes years and years before they are finished.

I swear AMD said at the very beginning they weren't actually 8 full cores. Each core shared components with each other but performed like it was 8 cores. With all that said and done, this just seems like another lousy cash grab.

i thought that was a commonly known fact about the bulldozer architecture. Is this just a matter of how they marketed it and advertised as "X amount of cores." Basically a false advertising suit?

And neither did AMD lie about their CPUs with 4 bulldozer modules that featured two cores per module, thus a 8-core CPU.  Also, anyone buying it bought it based on the the benchmarks that hold true.

 

We can go tit for tat all day on this one honestly.
