That scope yo, but that rifle looks so good I want one, but I will have to have that scope as well. DAMN!!! dat scope cant get over that thing.

I love how it looks^^ Pedersoli have both a Whitworth rifle and the scope. And they seem to be around $400-500

With the rifle costing $1500 at dixie gun works. Not sure if it includes the mold for the bullets though. Doesn't specify

It is a different rifle unfortunately. But it has the whitworth twisting hexagonal rifling which is the reason as to why i like them.

Here is the scope

EP0050.jpg

Apparently they are pretty finicky and need to be re-checked after every shot.

Also found out that there are modern hunting muzzleloaders

Not sure how i feel about it xD Just seems a bit strange

Its kinda a gun show special if you know what i mean: 7.5 inch generic parkerized barrel, generic casted aluminum upper, texas shooter's supply cast lower receiver, DPMS trigger group (got a lemon and needs lots of filing just to shoot standard semi auto), standard a2 pistol grip, awsome cheek rest buffer tube made locally, generic 4 inch quad rail, TROY low profile gas block, generic muzzle break, and locally made bcg.

 Yeah..... its pretty cheapish.

they are one of the best feeling guns out there.  I picked one up this weekend for $650, and they are solid.  I shot my father's mark1 hi power, and they are accurate.  You can find surplus imports for about $450-500 if you are looking for a different gun.  They one i have is so solid that there is not rattle at all if i shake it.  they will also only go up in value.

That 1911 looks awesome, you ever look into making your own 1911 without the serial? I've seen those becomming real popular at gun shows recently after people started getting into the tacti-cool ghost AR-15's (cough* now at every gun show every other table is filled with 80 percent lowers or tacti-cool AR-15 parts)

Yeah just shot my 1911 for the first time (First time ever shooting a 1911) and it was really really nice, seen that Para is really underrated for what they produce for products but I really only want one 1911, trying to buy different calibers unless it is a 9mm then I will end up with a few of them since I just love them. Right now I have my eye on a Luger P08 currently, I guess we will see if I buy it this week or not. (Need more HDD for the server since I am out of room)

The Gen 4 Glocks are a bit more left handed friendly yeah? Thinking of getting one of those as a second carry option. Not sure if I should go gen 3 or 4.

Not really. You can swap the mag release from right to left, but that's about it. But then you have to be careful to use only Gen4 mags, as the gen 3 mags only have the catch on the left side.

4th gens have a captive recoil spring, which is kinda nice, and better texturing on the grip, plus replaceable back straps.

Ah right that makes sense about the mags. Didn't even thing about that. All of my handguns are right handed anyways, so not really a bit issue.

Well, I am finally getting a decent job now that I graduated with an Associates degree in Network Security.

It's laptop repair work for school districts, but it's decent paying and actually 40 hours a week. So I find myself wondering what guns I want to buy. It's a toss-up between a PTR-91

-snip-

Semi-auto .308

Or a PS90

-snip-

Which fires the 5.7x28mm cartridge. A hard to find, but VERY hard hitting cartridge. (powerful enough that the hippies want to ban all sales of it to civvies). Also has a ridiculous size when you consider the 50 round magazines.

Then again, I might go with a pistol like the FNX 9mm. Something I can carry, but still attach a flashlight to.

Dunno much about the other two, but PTR-91's are mighty fine rifles with lifetime warranty on internal parts. Now is a pretty good time to buy one too since they're now shipping with a paddle mag-release. A lot of surplus G3 stuff is super cheap and readily available. Magazines for those can be had for ~$3. I bought 10 of them last year for $36 after shipping.

If you check Bud's Gun Shop, they have the GI model pop up for ~$750. I've seen it go as low as $690 from there.

I have a good local shop.

I've talked to some ex-military people who have some PTR-91's who have put thousands of rounds through theirs, without a single malfunction. I'm seriously considering getting one because of that.

Although ammo is a big concern. .308 is fucking EXPENSIVE compared to 7.62x39 and 5.56. I already have the AR, and I have a bunch of 7.62 left over from when I had an SKS. I find myself wondering just how big I should let the "Random ammo" box in my bugout bag get.

What I like about the PS90 is the small, light ammo, that still has a ridiculous punch at medium range. Although it IS a hard to find ammo.

The roller-delayed blowback mechanism is extremely reliable. But, if you are ever thinking about reloading, the PTR-91 wouldn't be a wise choice since brass gets mangled up from extraction. My C308 uses the exact same mechanism as this is what the brass usually looks like:

Spoiler

If you can't stomach the price of .308 ammo, you can get a PTR-32. They accept most standard AK mags and are chambered in 7.62x39

Spoiler

HKRPTR005-2.jpg

But honestly at that point, you might as well buy an actual AK if you plan on shooting 7.62x39
