I petition to remove the part of the title in the OP that says "assault rifles". Logically there is no such thing as an assault rifle, and the legal definitions of such will depend on ones locale. Even so, those definitions have absolutely nothing to do with performance and only refer to appearance. It draws unnecessary negative attention to the matter. I should take this time to say that I own many firearms myself, not limited to but including: An NFA M4 and a Savage 111 in .338LM.

Yeah I remember something about that, I don't know what much about ARs even though I own one but I want to start to gain knowledge on it so I can build my first one since I feel comfortable enough to do it now.

Well ordered my Muzzle brake for my Mosin Nagant since I am starting my first firearms project to modernize it. Hopefully this brake works well, manly want it for the looks since the recoil isn't bad on the Mosin IMO. I am still tring to find the right rail mount system for it since all of the ones I seen do not come far enough back to even use the damn thing so I am on a mission to find one and if anyone can suggest one post it so I can look at it. Really want to get the ball rolling on this soon since I have a little extra funds to spare.

The one I'm building will be/is my 3rd AR, but first ground up build. 1 16" Carbine length, 1 10.5" carbine length, and now 1 16" Mid length. 

 

I would like to do either a 20" A2 clone or a 9" Suppressed 300BO next.

yeah I really would like a 300 BLKout since I am in the process of buying 3 suppressors right now and I know that 300 Blkout is a really good round for it. I guess I am just stuck at what round to pick from but I know I want at least 600~800 yard rifle with the AR platform. so I was thinking .308 but then though 7mm-08 Rem but not sure.

I have a Mosin I'm planning on sporterizing, and I think I'm going to throw an AAC muzzle device on it so that I can also use a suppressor.

There's no chance I'll ever get an AR in this country, but building your own sure sounds like fun.

I really enjoyed it when I got to assemble "my" RK from almost scratch.

Personally I'd be moving to 6.5 Creedmoore.

That would be cool to suppress it I think. Seen a video on it once and it was quiet. Would like to do a threaded barrel for it.

Better than you would think, unless you want bulk fodder ammo then it's basically non-existent, but decent match ammo is pretty easy to find online and locally in my area. I know more than a few long range guys moving to it for their precision short actions.

Yeah I mainly want to use this for hunting but also matches since I live like 20 minutes away from Camp Perry.

Then I would definitely go 6.5, although 7mm-08 is not a horrible option either.

Been seeing good things from the 7mm-08 rem but I will have to do more research but I am not going any farther than 800 yards for sure.

Yeah I see their barrel is threaded for that blackout 51T but that is expensive for a muzzle brake but it sure is nice for that suppressor. Watch these guys all the time too, love their videos but I forgot about this one and I would like that rail mount but you have to modify the firearm to get it to work. So I might go with Brass Stacker for the rail mount.

Yeah, they're kinda expensive, but well worth it. I had one on my Rem 700 SPS AAC-SD, but I wound up having to sell the rifle.

I have a $50 Brownells card lying on my desk and I don't know what to buy with it since just about everything I could buy on their site for G3/CETME stuff, I can find much cheaper elsewhere.

 

I was thinking of a YHM Phantom 5C2 Comp/Flash Suppressor in .308, but my brother thinks it's a bit unnecessary and I kind of agree with him (only thought of this muzzle device since it's literally the only item I can find here worth buying with my card).

I'm Canadian and my stable is still rather modest.

 

Sig Sauer P226 9mm made in Germany, my first pistol.  With the right load will happily ring the gong at 100m

 

Sig Sauer 1911 Tactical Operations .45 ACP - My favorite pistol but I need more practice with it, my shot to shot times are terrible compared to the P225

 

Norinco M305 18.5" - Basically a chinese m1a in .308.  Have a chinese red dot on an ARMS18 mount.  USGI stock.  Loosely based on M14 CCO in arma2.

 

Lithgow #1 mk.3 in .303, manufactured in 1917.  Fun rifle to shoot, sounds off with authority but even with 180grain FMJ doesn't recoil too hard.

 

Dlask Lower with Colt HBAR 20" upper AR15 in 5.56mm.  Got to have an AR15, quite possibly the best rifle ever designed and put into mass production.

 

SSD BD44 in 8mmKurz - new manufactured semi-auto only variant of the STG44.  Fantastic rifle to shoot but the magazines are horrible.  Also, reloads with soft primers will slam fire reliably.

 

CSA carbine 11.5" barrel, 7.62x39 -  Semi auto VZ/SA 58 variant.  Much better design than the AK.

 

I regretted selling my winchester though. I had a model 1886 .45-70 that was manufactured in 1888, but I was tight for money and it went to pay rent.

Well bought a Brass Stacker scout scope mount for my Mosin Nagant will be here tomorrow and all I need to do is buy a scope for it. Might redo the finish of the wood but not sure yet, kinda like it looking old and used.
