Lubuntu would probably run pretty slick on that hardware.

I bought a 1TB OWC Aura Pro X2 NVMe drive for my 2015 MacBook Air. I want to install Win 10 in Bootcamp but the 256gb drive just isn't going to be big enough. The upgrade kit comes with an external enclosure, so I'll have an additional 256gb external drive when I'm done. From what I've found, the Aura Pro X2 is the only out-of-the-box compatible drive that has some form of DRAM cache, so that's a plus.

My Current Setup:

AMD Ryzen 5900X

Kingston HyperX Fury 3200mhz 2x16GB

Samsung 970 EVO Plus 2TB

I already have the excellent Slim Armor Pro for my Fold 4, but it's a drab looking black case that does its job very well. I was in the mood for a transparent case, order the itskins Supreme Clear Hinge with detachable stylus holder.

MSI Golden Edition GTX 970

id like to note that this was fairly cheap, the 970 is very old these days so they’re gonna be cheap, but I didn’t expect a special edition to be this cheap.

Also, it’s barely used if not potentially unused, there’s no visible wear on the pcie edge connector or rear I/O to indicate anything was ever plugged into this card.

Cool piece for the gpu collection

Wow, that's the first time I'm seeing the camera bump in the new iPhones. Looks like somebody glued 3 button cell batteries to the back of the phone.

If I bought that I would definitely need a case to level it off but then the phone would be twice as thick.

LTT Backpack:

I immediately ordered the Backpack around 10 Minutes after it went live on the Store so I'm lucky to be in the first wave. Unit 9883 of 10'000 it is.

I also bought both LTT Screwdrivers with the Black Shaft but that Order isn't here yet so one of my GamersNexus's Screwdriver from the set will have to make due for the picture.

Well, after having tried linear mechanical switches for a while, it was time to move back to click-switches.

Unfortunately, I wasn't really able to find any pre-build keyboards I really liked and that were available to me, so I had to jump down the rabbit hole that is custom mechanical keyboards.

20221001_130711.thumb.JPG.6975f7e491061351ffdd93e3dec6bebb.JPG

20221001_130411.thumb.JPG.3302ec643da0e0233c72c1d0a7ef11a0.JPG

The kit is a Kindle Star Orion 87 with Kailh/Novelkeys Navy Blue switches and GPBT Black Ash key caps.

The keycaps were chosen because they allowed me to do a hack job combination of US ANSI and Nordic ISO, so I can still uniformly have Nordic characters with an ANSI keyboard layout. And the color match between the case and the keys turned out really well by lucky coincidence.

All in all, it's a rather expensive solution to a trivial problem, but I'll admit that it was a fun experience to actually put together a keyboard for the first time. I finally understand why so many people have this as a hobby.
