One of my bucket list guns, an M4.

It'll make a nice addition to the family. Hopefully I can find a way to make it the more tacticool semi auto. Don't think I'll go as overboard with that on it though.

I bought this last week, it just took until today for me to get it.

It's an iPhone 4s that I got for $20 on eBay. It's running iOS 6.1.3 and is in pretty good physical condition. There are some minor scuffs and scratches on the screen, but nothing bad for the price I paid for it. There is also some weird delimitation that happened under the corners of the screen but it doesn't affect the display any:

Here is a little album of some more pictures I took of the phone:

https://imgur.com/gallery/XzYNIEv

I've been able to log into my iCloud account and install some apps. iMessage sadly does not work anymore and there is no AirDrop on iOS 6 so I had to set up a shared PhotoStream to get photos to and from it conveniently. Right now it makes a great iPod and classic mobile gaming device :P

I still have my iphone 4s running normally since the 1st day I bought it..

And this is the latest stuff I got. It's one of my PPE.

My receiver was of the 3D era and lacked 4k, matrix switching and Atmos support.  This was a decent interim upgrade to get me going before the newer HDMI technology roles out.

I just got this today.

20190619_122335.thumb.jpg.d07865d5f32564db04dffa01fb7321ea.jpg

A battery powered soldering iron.

It uses 4 AA batteries, and claims to last to up to 2 hours.

20190619_122515.thumb.jpg.94c9dc79ddd4bf44d68eaaac6c3c8a72.jpg

I'm wiring up some 12v computer fans for cooling my mom's greenhouse for the summer (powered by a 12v deep cycle vehicle battery), I can't really bring my soldering station outside so that's why I got the battery powered soldering iron.

That's a latching power button (that I also got today) so all that she needs to do is push it to turn the fans on/off.

I'm going to 3D print a holder and mount for the button today.

Here is some temperature charts for alkaline and NI-MH batteries.

Does this work well? i'm looking for a soldering iron that's not too expensive. I don't like the gas ones thought

It works pretty well, no temperature adjustment unfortunately.  Use nickel metal hydride batteries though, and keep a spare charged at all times.

I'm using lead free solder which requires a lot more heat then leaded, I get about an hour, so I can see two hours for leaded solder.

Unfortunately the tips are proprietary and expensive, and you only get the round tip with the soldering iron, which is my least favorite for wire.

20190625_080025.thumb.jpg.d36ba81438814be3ac3ec8678ebeccdf.jpg

That's the tip that I generally perfer.

Expect to pay another 20-30 dollars for a tip set.

I actually only paid 3 cents for the cable ties, had a promo code a couple weeks back.

The price of the Squid Sisters amiibos there is actually good.  They’re usually $100+

the PSU I needed to replace one I have that’s going out.

The R9 290 is for a project, and $60.  According to userbenchmark it’s around 970/RX 480 performance.  Not bad considering a 580 is around $150 new now (and a 480 can be OCed there).

The alarm clock is also a wireless charger, so why not.

Also, got some steam games. RE7, Shadow of the Tomb Raider, CoD WWII, Terraria, and Bright Memories.

Got a couple friends a Steam game or two, also got my mom some steam games she wanted.

All during the summer sale
