Mid 2022 at the earliest. 2023 at the latest. Scalpers certainly aren't helping, but there is a worldwide silica shortage as well.

cpu's and vr sets are regular price, atleast in the usa(maybe only near me?, not sure). usually in stock as well. gpu's on the other hand, not anytime soon unfortunately.

Realisticly, GPU prices are only going down when (or realistically IF) crypto crashes.

CPUs are actually pretty reasonable ATM (at least where I am).

RAM however, depends on how much price fixing SK Hynix and co to currently up to... as well as how much RAM phone manufacturers are gobbling up to make their stickers look better than the competition.

People and companies may say Summer 2021, but don't count on it. Earliest will be at least somewhere in 2022 and even Summer at earliest.

As soon as crypto crashes. It could be this week, it could be a year. Nobody knows. But for GPU as soon as crypto crashes a lot of miners would flood eBay with GPU's to recoup capital invested. Last crash 3 years ago you could get a RX 580 below $100!

I mean CPU prices are fine, i just bought a 5900x for MSRP $549 a couple weeks ago. GPU's are available for MSRP as well if you happen to luck out and find a brick and mortar store with one in stock. I found some 6800's at micro center for MSRP a few weeks ago. its more of a stock issue that is causing scalpers to try and sell at high prices DONT FEED THE SCALPERS. Once stock returns to normal the scalpers will be screwed. But stock isnt going back to normal for at least another year or more.

That's only possible for a very limited amount of people, even for people like me living in a bigger city, we're limited to a few stores, so people not living close have no choice but to buy online (and in my province, that's the majority of the population since appart from BestBuy, there are no other chains outside of the Montreal area that sell GPUs, and currently BB only has online stock).

I mean its a 2.5 hour each way drive for me to get to micro center only to hope that have something in stock when i show up. Hell the nearest walmart is an hour drive and best buy is like 1.5 hours from me. I asked a guy that worked at best buy and he said they dont know what or when they will be getting computer parts but they have gotten new CPU and GPU's in and they usually last for a few hours before they're gone. even when its only 1 because people just dont bother to come in and look at the shelves. 

Don't you Canadians have a store similar to micro center up there like memory something?

We have Canada Computers and Memory Express, but they don't have stores in all provinces or cities, for exemple, in my province, there are no Memory express, so we only have Canada Computers, and it's only a few stores around 1 city. If they don't have anything in store, the other closest store in in another province 4h away (one way).

I just rechecked the amazon seller where i bought my previous GPU red devil RX 5700XT. i pad 430$ something with taxes and shipping for that. the same seller has 3 or 4 cards each 1150$. doesn't make any sense

My money is on sometime 2022. Even once the drivers behind the shortage are resolved, the pent-up demand will take sometime to satisfy.
