These are all assumptions, for now. RTX 2070 is confirmed as fixable

yeah 1 gpu i got. old one. i used for my first gpu tear down and past. it work. but for stupid maginet fan. ...

then other one. i know what happen to that one. gpu got heat damage on 1 side. due to loss. of pressure on 1 side of passive heat sink. .

I finished the folding event so I rebuilt the loops, was down almost all of today. But I added another drain to the big system and put the water block on the 3090. The 3090 is crazy hot, I think I need a dedicated radiator just for it. Also I have some nasty bubbles, and the box is just to heavy to pick up anymore. I think it is about 150lbs now so not sure how to get the air out easily.

Congrats to the winners 🙂 I enjoyed it a lot, I didn't win but I learned how to overclock the laptop GPU properly (higher frequencies with undervolted values) and make cooling steady (putting a 10 cm metal piece between the laptop's hot area and the cooling pad metal did decrease the overall average temperature over 5 degree Celsius, lol). Hopefully, one day I'll be able to join again with a GTX or RTX GPU. Until then, see ya later!

I have to report the death of one of my systems don't know why yet it just crashed and will not boot now, but that happened last night after the event was over.

Well the folding may have been a contributing factor, so I think it counts.

 

Hopefully it's an easy fix.

 

I think I will wait for the last minute to RMA my card, or maybe they can send me a new fan. 

 

Now I have 3 cards purchased new with dead fans, a zotac 2080 super,  an asus 2070 and an evga 3080, all died in only a few months use. Fans seem to be made out of crap these days, and I dunno what I'm going to do about getting them fixed.

I think my 7775 Died YET AGAIN after 1 day of folding on it lol...it the screen no long works at all...yipee...

 

EDIT: ummmmm apparently some weirdo (no clue who...) didn't fully reconnect the lcd cable when he last replaced the MB...grrrrrr not sure how it ever worked...
