i rigged this up to circulate air near my machines as the hot air was just hanging in that area of my office. Nice and quiet compared to normal house fans too.

You know, I totally forgot the Tu150 has a solid side panel version, with vents along the GPU area for exhausting heat. That's actually pretty cool

It does a pretty good job at it too.  I have an RTX 2060 Super in there that is a 3 slot card, close enough to the bottom vents to draw in fresh air, big enough some of the waste heat comes out the side, the rest rises and is vented out the rear 120.

I love my show window cases, but for a little server / folding machines the vented solid panel is super functional

Just putting this out there...

But if anyone is running an AWS / Azure server that is not headless,  don't suppose I could convince you to to install chrome on the box and run this folding extension https://folding.lar.systems/#get_FITDAT on the web client in no sleep mode found in the footer.

It would be amazing to get some real world GPU data for cloud / server grade GPUs for the PPD database.

Not on a server or anything fancy, but just installed your extension on my personal rig and gotta say I'm really liking the web client! Just woke up and the default one was killing my eyes, once yours loaded it was a huge relief to my vision haha

And hopefully I can give you some useful data on a 2070 super at least

F@H is a really special cause to me. I have lost several loved ones in my life to cancer, and my grandfather is currently battling with Alzheimers. Happy to see sweltering with a 500w heater in my office on a 40c day is going to such a beautiful cause.

Agreed, F@H is a great way to help. I lost my grandfather to Alzheimer. I have family members that fought against Breast Cancer and Leukemia

Im in the folding struggle bus on my 2nd rig.

 

If I run beta, it exclusively runs the covid moonshot WU's which take FOREVER compared to the points assigned.  

 

So I switched to advanced, and it failed 3 back to back WU...

 

So I am switching back to normal...and no WU available.

 

I go back to moonshotting?!?! lol

For those who've specified COVID-19 work units, has anyone else been receiving cancer-related work units from time to time? Just recently noticed that's been happening to me over the last week or so.

 

Is this setting just a preference prioritisation of work units rather than a hard selection setting? So I'm getting cancer related work units because COVID-19 work units have  been running out? It used to be my F@H client would just idle if out of COVID-19 work unit instead of working on other types of work units.
