Microsoft has officially gone back on their word, and changed they statement. Only games they showed at E3 will becoming to PC...

My updated thoughts:

GG Microsoft - Way to piss a lot of people off. For once I thought you were actually starting to care for PC gamers, and you go and do this.

Stop back-pedaling on your self and give people what they want, you will make a lot more money:

Sure, there is piracy on PC, But a lot of people are willing to pay - You're losing out in the long term.

 

I for one will most likely be selling my Xbox One and moving over to the PS4 since the only game I play on Xbox is Halo 5, finished the campaign, haven't touched it since.

Title says it all really. Microsoft have confirmed while talking about details about the upcoming Windows 10 Anniversary update that 

"EVERY FUTURE GAME published by Microsoft Studios will come to PC and Xbox One"

 

It must be noted, this is for WINDOWS 10 only - 

a lot of people are still avoiding Windows 10, but honestly, its not that bad of an OS, especially

with the features it offers.

 

I added the image of Halo 5, since unfortunately, I can not find any images for Halo 6 - if any exist yet :/.

However the article notes that they will be coming to the:

"Windows 10 Store". 

However, recently, Microsoft has announced it may start selling games through other services such as Valve's Steam software - so there's still hope.

 

EDIT: Here is a list of games that will be avialble on the Windows 10 store. Trouble is, they will be UWP applications, and as such, may only work with DX12...

- Forza Horizon 3
- Gears of War 4
- Halo Wars 2
- ReCore
- Scalebound
- Sea of Thieves
- State of Decay 2
- We Happy Few

Looks like MS is finally and actually this time, taking PC gaming seriously again -as long as the games aren't held back for

I personally like PC more to game just because the game is cheaper, yet I still can play on the couch using Nvidia Gamestream. Since using that, I never touch my PS3 anymore, especially when playing GTA V (which is the game I only play on PS3), and have no plan to buy PS4 anymore.

Well it's better than nothing. It does feel kind of like this though:

Microsoft: "All future games will come to PCs!"

Everyone: "Woho! Great job! Finally!"

Microsoft: "But they will be UWP and only for Windows 10! Gotcha!"

 

Why not just release them like a regular publisher, without doing it in a sneaky attempt to make people move to Windows 10?

UWP is shit and I don't see any other publisher go Windows 10 exclusive. And yes before the MDF yells at me, I know Microsoft has promised to fix UWP. So far they haven't done anything though so it's just lip service right now.

 

 

It is pretty amazing that it took Microsoft 15 years to finally realize that they should release their games on both their platforms. I mean, why limit your product to only work on things a minority of your user base has? In the end, game sales is what brings in the money, and a bigger user base means more sales.
