GG Microsoft - Way to piss a lot of people off. For once I thought you were actually starting to care for PC gamers, and you go and do this.

well.. maybe all the other games they announce will also come to Windows 10, they just don't want to announce any other games...

at least we get Halo 5 Flight Simulator... not like there are that many games Microsoft Studio makes that'd be interesting to play...

Doesn't support full-screen mode, and has major issues with multi-gpu, g-sync/v-sync.

All of that is coming by the way. If you could be so patient as to wait until August 2nd then you will have most if not all of that fixed.

Judge a product on its own merits AND the company that made it.

And there's zero point in complaining about UWP. That platform is the reason titles are coming to PC in the first place - to demonstrate the power of UWP. That being, you develop the game once and it works on both PC and Xbox.  From a developers standpoint - it's actually a very exciting time.

but is it really that simple for devs technically speaking?

No, they have to do some extra stuff to make xbox controllers and keyboards work but it's no big deal.

Actually yes. It's considerably less work than a usual port. My devs were super excited about it - though I think they mostly liked the bit where you could compile iOS apps straight to Windows. Though I'm not sure that ever eventuated outside of test suite. But in principle, Universal platform is the best thing for developers - platform fragmentation is their number one "enemy"!

Can't remember who said it, but I remember hearing the quote "If Microsoft was in charge of marketing sex, the human race would be extinct".

I think that sums up Microsoft's PR skills pretty well.

It's not just Microsoft. A lot of companies are bad at PR. Normally cos they try to out source it.

Yeah, they really do. Ignoring everything PCs, if you own a PS, that moment when you sit in the couch and fire up a console from few m away, take the gamepad and start the game and it actually works without issues, is priceless.

there's potentially a big difference between Microsoft publishes and produces. If studio X, an independant studio, gets published under Microsoft's, that doesnt mean Microsoft can force said studio to release on PC too.
