Go to solution Solved by GOTSpectrum,

Alright guys, the time for locking this thread has come, can you all please use the Folding Community Board for all further talk.

Thank you all again for participating in the event.

Once the sheet is cleaned up I will edit this post to add the link to the spreadsheet.

@TVwazhere Can you please lock this thread for me.

It did go to 1995 after setting 150 from 165, but  at checking back a bit later it was running at 2010 again. As 15mhz steps 150 would be 10 steps right ?

maybe you're running into the same issue I am with some WUs going above 2010, say 2025 for you, and then the app crashes and the gpu goes back to 2010 where it works right?

few hundred mb up and down per day per client, depending on how fast your hardware is

That helps.

BTW the system is Intel Q8300, 4 GB RAM, No GPU.

I know it's bad but felt that a contribution of any kind won't hurt anyone.

Last year I stayed in 15th with an average PPD of about 1.5M. We will have to see if I can even stay in top 20 this year, RTX cards are so powerful....

I mean I'm sitting here expecting 2.8-3.2 per day and I kind of doubt that'll be enough for top10. Top20 - very likely, but 10 seems a little out of reach. That if people are going to run their cards and stuff properly.

is 700$/e a good deal for 2x1080ti's in your country ?

I purchases my 1080ti FTW3 for $550 a year ago,  so if you can get Two for $700 ($350 each) then I'd say thats a very good deal.

that's... going to be pretty low network usage as you're probably not going over too many projects daily. So I'd expect under 10GB usage per month with that.

No, it used to run at 2025 when gaming but had a even higher OC on it.

When i had +165mhz core it was running constant at 2010mhz when under old (dipped down at the checkpoints).

now I have +150mhz and still running 2010mhz after it started at 1995mhz. Maybe nvidia boost 3.0 at the work due to thermal headroom?

I think that "/e" was "per each".. in that case, for new cards, it's kind of a bad deal already in US as 2080s cost that much.. used 1080tis are about 400-500$ here.

Do you rate the Define C? Good airflow?

I'm still using my original Corsair 650D, but it's so bloody big that I've been contemplating getting a new case to save some space..

For one card yes, for two air-cooled cards it really needs the PSU shroud removed so 3 120mm fans can be installed but the non-meshify needs High Static Pressure fans to overcome the 90-degree right angle the intake air takes. In this case I put one of the 2070 Super hybrids in the lower spot so it isn't as much of an issue. For the folding month I'm running it with the front off and I much prefer the full from filter of the Define C than the front of the meshify.

Yes, I did buy a few GPUs just for folding, and no, I'm not returning them. I'll continue to Fold and run BOINC on them after the months up but will be turning the power-limits doen to improve efficiency and lower my power bill. I've given up many vices over the years and senior management (i.e. she that must be obeyed) doesn't mind this one as it keeps me at home and helps heat the house. As long as I don't start sprinkling systems throughout the house, as some folders do, she's OK with it.

I tried folding on my MacBook Pro with a i5 7th gen and one project was gonna take like 15 days .. so I’d say he would be using like 1-2GB maybe ? (200-400mb per project or so?)

it could be. you can try setting voltage/frequency curve in afterburner if you press Ctrl+F in it. Adjust it down to under 2010, it should lock to the nearest possible step.

And you can see which voltage the card is running too, that might help figure out wth is going on.

right now i have 3 1070's and a Titan X pascal just to fold, but i do sometimes game on the titan aswell.

it's about the hobby to me. some people spend thousands on their cars, i just chuck money at my PC. ?

The CPU projects are usually smaller - say 6-12MB per project. The first time you run a new project core (A4, A7 etc.) it will have to download that core which might be a couple of 100MB
