Nexus 6 specs get leaked

TopWargamer

Source: http://www.androidpolice.com/2014/09/29/this-is-the-motorola-nexus-6-a-5-9-qhd-display-3200mah-battery-dual-front-facing-speakers-and-more/

I'm not sure how valid this leak is, but it seems pretty plausible. Either way, here are the supposed specs for the next Nexus device.

-Aluminum frame

-13MP camera with OIS (optical image stabilization)

-2MP front-facing camera

-Dual-flash ring configuration

-3,200+mAh battery

-QHD display with 496 DPI

-Dual front-facing speakers

-5.9" screen (mixed feelings here)

Now, that's obviously not all of the specs. We're still missing very important things such as the type of processor it's using and the amount of RAM it will have, but judging from the above specs, I think it's safe to say that the Nexus 6 will be one beast of a smartphone, and will more than likely use the Snapdragon 805 with 3GB of RAM. It addresses issues to the camera and battery size, but a 5.9" screen is a bit too large for my taste, but if the price is right, I may deal with it to get a good device.

Lastly, here is what the Nexus 6 is supposedly going to look like. With this information coming out, are you going to buy the Nexus 6? And how much do you think the Nexus 6 will cost?

This is looking awesome (other than useless QHD), but rumors say it'll be $500. Really lame. :/

You have a strange definition of "new."

EDIT: Oh, I misunderstood what you meant.

It's commonly referred to as the bumper frame. Basically the entire device is made of plastic except for the areas surrounding the phone. The reason being is that when the phone falls, it will be less susceptible to damage.

Yeah. This is the best way to find a compromise between looks and build quality IMO.

Ehhh... I think Google hit the nail on the head when it came to design with the Nexus 5. Frankly, I'd just like that same device, with perhaps a metal bumper, and updates internals.

This one looks far too... Round.

Tea, Metal, and poorly written code.

Having a 6-inch phone as a "flagship" (if you can call Nexus devices that) is a big mistake, it basically alienates people who don't want a phablet.

I think I have a few things to address about this. First thing DAMN that screen size is WAY too huge, and probably not true. The second thing is the processor, I'm guessing if they were to really refresh the phone, a snapdragon 801 is not going to be much of a difference. But saying that it contains a 805 probably sounds better. The third thing is the camera, I do hope they address this, since with the nexus 5, upon release many have said that the camera was HORRIBLE. But it was slightly fixed through a software update that rolled out, so hopefully the camera is better, not just being a bump in the amount of mp. And the last thing would be battery life, the nexus 5 had a battery life that could be said as not bad and not great, it was basically in the middle. Maybe with a light to moderate use of it, it could of last anywhere from a day to a day and a half. So I do hope that they address the battery life problem, well... it's not really a problem but I do hope that this new one does bring something better to the table despite being at the price it is.

Wanna hang out with me and people like @Theslsamg, @ Ssoele, @BENTHEREN, @Lanoi, @Whiskers, @_ASSASSIN_, @Looney, @WunderWuffle, and @nsyedhasan. Well.... Check out: http://linustechtips.com/main/topic/48484-unofficial-linustechtips-teamschnitzel-server-teamspeak/

Looks much more seamless when it's directly embedded into the design. I've used metal bumper cases and they seem clunky to me.

I might actually pick this phone up, at first I wanted to go for the One Plus One, but judging by how long they have made to bring it to the market has opened the gap for the nexus 6, which now is starting to look better.

I'll be pretty surprised if the screen actually ends up being that big. I also hope if that design is correct the speakers are better than what the Moto X 2014 has.

Man if that's what the Nexus actually turns out to be I might have to give up on the Nexus love for a generation until they bring it back down to a reasonable size.
Looks like the Z3 Compact might be my next phone, if I even decide to upgrade this year.

I'd say QHD gets more important the higher up in size you go, especially on something that's damn near 6".

It's basically a tablet.

Not really soon, still about a year away.

The Moto X only has one speaker, so having stereo speakers is already a step in the right direction ;)
