The logical equivalent of that question is "Can Windows users be rich?" Both have the same answer of course.

 

(I come to the idea that the above question is logically equivalent because Apple users are seen as higher income due to their willingness to purchase laptops that at the cheapest are $1000)

Of course they can be tech savvy. They are just stereotypically not. Many very smart people use Mac because it's generally better than Windows and can run more of their needed programs than GNU/Linux.

I think you can be a Mac user, and still be tech-savvy. 

 

And there are different ways of being tech-savvy, like having extensive knowledge on hardware, software, networking, coding, some of these or even all of them (or something I forgot to mention).

 

Even a Mac user can be more "tech-savvy" than a Linux user :D

I wouldn't based being Tech savvy on what Manufacture you are using or what devices you have in hand. I know people who have Windows Computers and some that have Mac computers who aren't tech savvy (Asking me to fix their shit....)

 

Just depends on the person really not their hardware,

Don't see anything excluding people who are on Mac being non tech savvy

No, there is absolutely no way anyone who buys a computer can be tech savvy.     Just like people who buy cars know absolutely nothing about engines or tyres.

I'm a Mac user but I'm not tech savvy, so that could happen. I haven't explored all Mac function and what it can do, I'm not interested in new apps that made for Mac. Does that make sense?

I think its.stupid to say "this OS is objectively better than that one" because 99% of the time, it isnt. There are different use cases and different people, just because 90% of apple's consumers are noobs, that does not mean there arent pros.

 

I believe mac is useful for mainly 2 kinda of people: full NOOBS that think it is superior (and for them it is, since they cant fuck things up), and people with a VERY SPECIFIC usecase scenario, that know exactly what they are doing.

 

It reminds me of some dota 2 heroes, that only fucking noobs OR pro players use, because for everyone else its just crap.

On the other hand power users get annoyed by how hard it can be to change system level stuff that can easily be done in windows registry..
