Car Enthusiast Club [Now Motorcycle friendly!] - First thread to 150k! ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Don't lump me in with them. I'm an enthusiast of mechanic design, be it engines, weaponry, or productive machinery. Not a guy with a wrench that reads the marketing garbage AFE/insert other "enthusiast" brand that can't legally warranty half of their products.

I fail to see a correlation between people screeching variations of "forced induction is more efficient!!! Reclaimed energy!!!" and anything I've said.

If you can't be civil. Please leave

Edit. That goes for everyone in the thread

Question to the car enthusiasts / petrolheads of this club :

If you had lets say about 12 k to 26 k euros to spend ,

What type of cruise car would you spend it on ?!

Side comment :

I'm a cruiser , i don't like to go TOO fast but also do appreciate speed.

I just execrate enough to get people to check out the ride that im in and just kick off , open some smooth jams and just chill while i ride.

Personally , the ideal car that i would go is a old car , some were around the mid 1969 to 1975 to 1979 and lastly 1985.

personally i believe this : before our time , there was no such thing as '' SAFETY AND PRECAUTIONSM '' ( he says in a retarded voice )

instead , there was soul and beauty in them , there was something absolutely magnificent about them . it felt the car was a part of you

the sheer look of them would want to make you cry out of joy and sadness out of its beauty.

And i personally believe this : these days , new cars look exactly the same , the old one , you could distinguish very easily and they would look  all different and feel different.

before the great war and after the great war , Bitches back in the day knew how to make a god damn fine car, and did not care if you felt like a half assed superhero with was thing that he was saving the world with your Fing shitty Prius.

anyway , i had to get this off my chest , .

Thanks and drive groovie folks .

You're in the EU, so I'd recommend either a newish BMW or a few older BMWs

I'd disagree. The further you look back, the more similar the cars looked. That's just a natural lack of design sophistication. I would never be able to tell the difference between a bunch of old Cadillacs. And a lot of muscle cars shared similar shapes and lines. The Camaro/Mustang/Challenger of the 60's looked much more similar than the ones of today. I personally like boxy styling of the 90's but that's just my opinion.

That is GM , i know all GM cars all look the same but if reconsider looking at the other ones then you can see the difference.

Looks alright. I have to take away a few points for the fart-can exhaust (sorry, I've just seen way too much of that around where I live, ;) ).

Can you list all the mods/work done to it? I see it has some suspension work done, but is it just lowering springs? or ? Any engine mods? Details man, I need details! ;)

Does everyone on this thread here like the sound of engine backfire?

I personally don't like it... (or really high revs and loud exhausts in general...) I like my rides fast and quiet...

Depends on the car. Some cars i reckon are meant to be loud, while some are better left quiet.

But come on, whats not to like about rolling down a hill in third and just hearing pop pop popppop pop pop.

The whole alignment of the wheels looks... off

And I personally don't like the wheel color but that gen of Corolla is one of my favourites and is the best looking. And yeah that fart can....

My dad had an AE102 a while back.

This 71 Charger

18k. I'd spend some money changing the registration number to something that doesn't mean poop to me.

Cherry bombs and some light reliability mods and i'd be happy with it :)

And i'm totally with you on the old cars having a bit more soul and beauty than the modern design-by-commity-and-restricted-by-safety-regulations cars

Well i guess some places might be a pain. Sweden and Denmark are alright though^^

The engine being carbed is the whole point. I really like blow through turbocharging :)
