Yes but it is Monday in here already and I start work at 7 am, if it was on Friday like usually events of this sort are it would be Saturday and I'd have the day off.

 

Whoever organized this was an idiot, stuff that the entire world has interested people on, makes it in a way only a small slice of the world can actually see it due to the hour-circle.

Last year they just talked about Xavier and shields and stuff. Nvidia doesn't usually talk that much about consumer GPUs at CES.

 

Nvidia isn't like AMD who likes to tease and show benchmarks of products way before their release. We didn't get any official news about Pascal until Nvidia's actual launch event... so yeah. And they usually like to announce consumer products at their own event, so I don't think we should expect much when it comes to Volta/Ampere, except when it comes to AI and stuff.

If an OEM decides to go with a AMD processor and a nvidia gpu, there's not much AMD can do about it except decide to not sell CPUs which would be stupid.

I was thinking of something like Intel using AMD GPUs in their mobile processors. I don't think AMD would do something like this with NVIDIA.
