Hate to hear the bad news for them, but I personally was never a fan of their crazy designs. Most of their stuff looked goofy. I just hope Mad Dogz never goes out of business.

Eh, madcatz has been cheap garbage for a long time now.

the RAT mice for the first couple gens were fine under cyborg, till they ended up biting the bullet with madcatz and they're moronic "Let's reduce the quality of the materials, manufacturing, and overall components, but still charge that same premium price!"

 

Honestly does not surprise me at all they're going under. They've been in the can for years now.

I think I huge part of the problem is the whole out there, super gamer-y thing they used to go for (I mean look at those RAT mice) has gone way out of style these days. No more hot wheels PC's, now we're all about tempered glass, restrained, minimal looks and solid builds.

These things were nuts, which was neat to look at but no one wanted them in their homes.

That's probably why the plastic on my Antec GX500 Dominator W was pissing me off so much, and why I prefer (but can't use with high TDP graphics cards) my old workstation case from around 2004. Aside from the old case from 2004 having far better 120mm radiator support and build quality that is.

Yeah I've never been a huge fan of Antec cases in general, but you're right. Computers, and technology in general have moved away from crazy, plastic designs and we've ended up with people demanding glass, metal and generally a really premium, non-appliance feel.

It kinda looks like blood smeared on the french flag, maybe chaning the color of their logo to black or another color other than red, for that image likely wouldn't have looked so bad.

I call this well deserved, I bought a wireless gamecube controller from them when I was a kid and the dumb thing never worked. Did the same with an Xbox 360 controller and it broke in a week. That was when I learned to shill out the extra money for the Nintendo/Microsoft branded hardware, which are still working today
