Guys. Ubisoft has a surprise for you! Guess what? The PC version is the superior experience for The Division and the Console version is clearly the inferior experience.

 

 

 

Yesterday, a lot of new information for The Division appeared as the embargo for a Ubisoft hands-on event expired.

Popular YouTubers Angry Joe and Jackfrags shared some information regarding the PC and Xbox One versions of the game, for instance. Angry Joe posted a video with almost an hour of new gameplay, while at the very end he explained that The Division looks much better on PC.

 


AngryJoe - "I was not blown away by the graphics. I thought the graphics was probably better at E3, so I don’t know if there has been a downgrade; of course, this was on the Xbox One. Correction: the graphics did look good in the computer room.

They’re actually doing a lot for the PC version and they listed out, like, all these different enhancements that the PC has so it’s not simply a port. The PC version hopefully is gonna be good and it looks far better than the console."

The Xbox One version looks good, no doubt, some really nice weather effects. It’s definitely not native 1080P though and it only runs at 30FPS. There were moments in combat where there were a lot of players on screen and explosions, I could definitely feel the FPS dropping below 30 and chugging a little bit. I did try the PC version and will comment on that soon, but I’m definitely gonna be playing the game on PC when it launches.

 

This is awesome. I may pick up this game after all if they are serious about delivering the superior experience on PC. Especially if the framerate is good and graphics are awesome.

Nah, Ubisoft is fine it's NVIDIA and Gameworks that'll ruin it. We all know if it has any NVIDIA tech in it, it's Gameworks' ruining it all. Not Ubisoft themselves not optimizing the game. /s

Now that news of this is out, MS and Sony will throw hissy fits, and force Ubi to downgrade the PC experience.

Ketchup is better than mustard.

GUI is better than Command Line Interface.

Dubs are better than subs

It makes sense. Most MMORPG players use on PCs. While The division is a faux-mmorpg it has many aspects of it.

Will be awesome if it's like that. I really hope it is, sick of crap ports and unoptimized games asking for full price and chopped in DLCs and all that.
I will wait for launch to see how the game will be presented.

I'll wait for the "beta" before making my opinion on this. Angry Joe and the press can say whatever they want, I'll believe that Ubisoft didn't f*ck us up all over again when I see it with my own eyes.

Ubisoft.  Don't mess this up.  Redeem yourself, climb free of the dark hole you dug, lift your self up in to the sunlight and be free of the shackles of your oppressive, downgrading grip.  And get rid of Uplay for the love of god.

Rainbow six siege runs really well on PC and seems pretty optimised EXCEPT THEIR REALLY SHITTY SERVERS THAT CAN'T EVEN HANDLE HALF OF THE REQUIRED LOAD...

I played Siege beta, it was nicely optimized to be honest, it really surprised me I was running @1080p ultra around 50fps if I am not mistaken but ended up optimizing for that 60+ fps. If Ubisoft manages to deliver a nicely optimized game with not Pay to win mechanism I will probably buy it.

It's a bit sad for the xbox though, it was released just recently and the hardware can't already keep the pace anymore.

 

Let's hope MS learned their lesson and hopefully put more focus on PC gaming instead.
