I'm sure there are quite a few guys here who like Pokemon, liked Pokemon or want to get into it.

From competitive battling, to trading and asking for advice, this is the place to discuss. 

 

As for a little history with me and Pokemon (just to start off the thread), I got into Pokemon when I was 3 years old.

The hype just started where I live, so I watched the show before school every day and played Pokemon Red on my Original GameBoy. I also collected the cards at a very young age.

To this day, I still do all of them (except for watching the anime).

 

I have many of the main series games and have thousands of cards.

Loved pokemon ruby and sapphire on the GBA, but I grew tired of it, same old recycled crap imo.

That's more hardcore than me, I was 5 when I got into Pokémon and 6 when I got my first game.

Must have been 2 or 3 when I saw the first episode, because that came out in 1999 where I live.

Got into pokemon from watching the Anime back in the day had to be 4 at that time, it came a bit later here in greece. I remember whining to my parents to buy me a GBA , and BAM in 2005 I got my GBA SP from my godmother as a gift and my Sapphire from a family friend of mine :D

Came out in 2005, August to be specific. If they could do a 10th anniversary remake I would buy the console it was released on just for that game...

Started with the OG games. Think my dad preordered them or something because I remember them arriving in the mail one day.

 

Favourite gen is gen3 (ahhh.. The days of Hoenn confirmed). Am disappoint with ORAS.

They haven't even done a Pokemon game on the Wii U right?? (except that Rumble game)

I think Battle Revolution and Pokepark just made them lose faith in console Pokemon games :(

i have some cards and collectibles from cheetos, but i didn't even know pokemon until CN aired it on Toonami in 2005, i've seen upto indigo league, fell apart after i got into high school, after that it became shit fest, original 150 pokemon for life.

My first game was red, but my favorite was Yellow and Silver.

The rest were OK but I didn't find them as attractive.

As for the cards, I stopped after I had all of gen 1 and 2.

I still have to get Silver D: that's one of the game I don't have :(

ORAS was not amazing IMO (Gen 6 as a whole) but still had fun :)

I would get a Wii U if that happened

There is one for free on 3DS but it's just a mii vers game.

I feel so old when talking about Pokemon. I had quite a good deck, used to battle with them, but that was 12+ years ago. I can't count how many games I played tbh, hell I even emulated it on my Nokia N70.  :lol:

 

And before we start, Charizard is the best pokemon. End of discussion.

The ability to google properly is a skill of its own.
