My first game was red, but my favorite was Yellow and Silver.

The rest were OK but I didn't find them as attractive.

As for the cards, I stopped after I had all of gen 1 and 2.

I have played red on gameboy and pokemon snap on n64

I collected the cards for a bit in the 90s but never played the game but did play mtg around the same time

I feel so old when talking about Pokemon. I had quite a good deck, used to battle with them, but that was 12+ years ago. I can't count how many games I played tbh, hell I even emulated it on my Nokia N70.  :lol:

 

And before we start, Charizard is the best pokemon. End of discussion.

Oh yeah. Today, I played Pokémon on a PC with a SNES controller. Yes.

 

 

I usually do it with a PS3 controller ^^

ORAS was not amazing IMO (Gen 6 as a whole) but still had fun :)

XY was just bad imo. ORAS was a lot better and if Emerald doesn't exist I'd say ORAS is objectively superior to its original generation.... But the problem is Emerald does exist...

Oh I remembered the worst thing to happen. I had Pokemon Red iirc for the original Gameboy which was working on adapter, but it was broken and if you pulled out the game, the game would reset and you would be at the beginning. After 90+ hours, guess what my friend did. Well it was a reason to start again.  :lol:

6IV, EV train it in speed and special attack, give it Thunderbolt or even Thunder (in a Drizzle team) and it kicks the shit out of many water types

I started with Pokemon Blue on the Original Gameboy back when I was around 6 years old.  Got it from my Uncle Tanner and have since returned it to him.

 

I've played:

Pokemon Ranger: Shadows of Almia

Pokemon Snap

Pokemon SoulSilver and HeartGold

Pokemon Sapphire

Pokemon Emerald

Pokemon Omega Sapphire

Pokemon Monopoly (board game)

Pokemon Y

Pokemon Black and White

Pokemon White 2

Pokemon Diamond and Pearl

Pokemon Platinum

Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Darkness and Sky

Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Blue Rescue Team

And perhaps more that I can't remember right now.

 

I loved them all for the most part.

 

Also Absol is best Pokemon.

I got into pokemon when I was about 10, my english teacher had a GBA emulator and she gave me a CD copy with the ROMs for Ruby and Sapphire. I really liked it because the anime was also in the same gen at the time. But I only played Ruby and haven't watched the anime past gen 3.
