I always get blamed for everything that just breaks and is tech related in the house, because I use it the most.

Tablets and pc's are usually full of bloatware and other crap <-------------my fault

This is exactly what happens to me. Anything that goes wrong that is tech related is instantly my fault, wifi stops working somehow I magically made it do that, check my email on sisters laptop for two seconds because it's near by two months later my sisters like you broke my laptop it's super slow remember you used it two months ago... eh no see that little arrow on your taskbar, press it... 3 anti virus programs simultaneously open probably running disk checks, Skype, MSN, Chrome, Internet explorer and the list goes on. So I kindly offer her some advice advise her to uninstall all this shit get a decent antivirus like Zone Alarm or something but no all I get is you broke my laptop I'm going to have to get a new one... OK let me have your laptop once you get a new one ( not going to stop stupid so I gave up a long time ago ) no it's broken I'm throwing it out.

I go sooooo fucking sick of family friends and friend of friends pining and whining for tech support for the stupiest shit that I flat out laid a rule several years ago in my late 20's that I firmly told my parents and family friends that propagated this causing me to spend my time off helping other people with computer issues:

"From this point forward, I am NOT doing anymore computer favors free of charge on my own time!!!!. I now will charge EVERYONE $50 AN HOUR, half our minimum charge, no exceptions.

Needless to say, 95% of the people stopped talking/asking for computer help from me within a few short months.

I just hate it when people expect you to know everything about something you don't necessarily.

I was asked to fix up a website that was coded in css and make it html5

To which I replied

Why? css is just a styling format. It's very easy to update to HTML 5 not much difference. Sorry if I missed the point here not sure if you're saying you don't do web programming or that somehow css has something to do with HTML 5. either way If someone asked me to do that I would be like you got a spare £100 ?

Whenever somebody has a problem with their pc, my wife keeps saying im savvy and shit. And they always coming to me with the most retarded shit.

Full of junk, trojans or DISABLED WIFI. I'm telling them every fucking time. Keep your desktop/laptop CLEAN. Don't install every stupid shit that pop-up.

Try to search for the solution on the web. They never listen and in 3-4 months they are back. No gratitude except - thanks. PAY ME OR FUCK OFF. I have spent bazyllion hours of my childhood to learn this stuff,

playing games and figuring the know-how. And you moron can't spent 5 phucking minutes of your stupid drunk life on 1 minor issue. Geez these people are pissing off.

People always assume you can do these things on your own and are surprised when you have to go to Google.com, to look up what their problem is

And people think 'Have you tried turning it off and on?' is not a legit answer while it usually works

In my experience being a techy just means you can search for your answers instead of asking everyone else to deal with your troubles. Im exagerating a bit but yeah ... some of it is true for me. I mean, I learned most of what I know about maintaining a computer because I dared to try shit. I didn't just ask someone else to do it for me.

Some things that really annoy me the most is my friends know i am a "Techie" so when anything goes wrong they always ask me to fix it no matter what the issue is, like they think i can literally produce a PC or any other type of Tech out of my ass lol.

Sometimes i get paid but other times i do not and do it is a favour for them, however what really gets on my nerves is when you are trying to solve some ones problem via online.

i usually ask to use team viewer so i can do it myself and save the hassle of telling them step by step.

But then they start getting all freaked out because you're controlling their PC, Although i understand that can be freaky for some haha.

Not to mention the really bad people who cannot even begin to understand how to install Teamviewer in the first place

Lets just say its lucky i am a patient man.

My dad just made me pay the power bill because my computer is always on.

He fails to realize that the washer and dryer he uses everyday to wash his work coveralls uses more energy than my computer.

/Didn't backlog through these pages so it may have been said.

Not being as excited as you should for the new gear, because you have a known expectation of specs & where it's going to be in the product stack, and what that means...performance wise.

A back and forwards Tennis match between companies for "You put it a small sliver of performance in front of the competition, I can do that"

Maximums - Asus Z97-K /w i5 4690 Bclk @106.9Mhz * x39 = 4.17Ghz, 8GB of 2600Mhz DDR3,.. Gigabyte GTX970 G1-Gaming @ 1550Mhz

Being expected to fix everyone's problems even if it would be much easier and beneficial if they just tried to fix the problems themselves. I mean a lot of what I know I learned out of desperation of having to learn it to help myself. So if the people that want my help only tried to fix it themselves they could potentially learn something incredibly useful that would almost certainly improve their abilities.

Basically I share Kreia's ideology when it comes to helping others. That said I also think that when they really cannot do anything to help themselves it is almost a responsibility to offer some assistance but otherwise doing other people's work robs them of the chance to learn how to do it themselves. Unless it's just mundane work that everyone knows how to do; then doing it has no educational value and therefore nothing is taken from them when you do it for them. Of course that's also when you really don't want to do it and they should be capable of doing it themselves anyways.
