Yah that's some wishful thinking.
You do realize that LTT was selling shirts about ubisoft digging a few years ago, but they recovered. The amount of money at play here and the amount of money whales spend even on bad games is too much for them to outright fail suddenly.

More stuff! Got a couple pair of shoes (along with a polo shirt not pictured). Picked up a new PSU (To replace one in another PC. That PSU will become a diagnostics PSU) along with a mouse pad by Red Dragon (Love it!) and some RGB fans by AsiaDragon (Surprisingly good fans!)

Also not pictured is a cheap case to put said bill PSU is for into and get it all into a cleaner case. Looking to install Linus on this PC but the linux boot drives don't want to cooperate. :/

So, yesterday I went to remove the wraith cooler to put the dark rock pro 4 in.  The paste had basically glued the CPU to the heatsink, and ripped the 2200g from the socket bending the pins.  Got it off using 99% rubbing alcohol.  And, Amazon let me return it.  So, I bought a replacement temp CPU.

welp.PNG.a8e439c85ad541b7397cf61c1852ec8d.PNG

Just a quick tip about that; once removing the cooler latch, twist the cooler a little and it should come off the CPU without pulling the CPU out of the socket. That is quite common with AMD stuff, so don't feel bad. ;)

You can also fix bent pins if you have steady hands, patience and the tools to do it (tiny tweezers). That's how I got my FX 8350 for $25 - it had one bent pin and was presumed dead.

I actually tried the twisting method first.  XD  I had to pour 99% rubbing alcohol on the cpu and wraith cooler to get it to budge at all.  I've had this happen once with an old Pentium 4 in a Dell Dimension 2400.  I wonder if it will happen with a dark rock pro 4 and kryonaut.

Yeah, they can be really stuck sometimes, lol. I found aftermarket thermal paste doesn't seem to turn into rock-like glue as much over time making it easier to separate the cooler from the CPU. You should be fine with the Kryonaut, I would assume. ;)

Well the last few things arrived today and I can finish off my PC.

Got a 500GB SSD, 4TB HDD, a PCI Express x16 riser, Extra Thermal Compound, a multi fan input splitter, and a device that will allow me to have sound coming from 2 PC's into 1 out

This should be the last major purchases I do for awhile. Now to sit back and finally enjoy the PC (and eventually cable manage around the desk!)

The Def Jam 10th Anniversary compilation release, essentially a greatest hits of the Def Jam label's first ten years, from 1985 to 1995.

It has quite a number of unique releases that only made it onto this CD or on a very limited amount of CDs outside of this one, like The Boomin' System by LL Cool J, which is fully uncensored on here but censored on basically every other release outside of this one and the single mix.

Check out my guide on how to scan cover art here!

An 8gb stick of corsair 3000mhz ddr4 for diagnostic purposes (it wasn't the ram that was bad in the system, but that ram is elsewhere now running like a champ), and the system is running like a top... I hate tech... Excuse me, I gotta go buy more tech.

As I mentioned in my last post, I also got a Pelican laptop case to put my Dremel motor and accessories into.

IMG_0031.thumb.JPG.5a5597015bea3f1348d64fb534a557b1.JPG

I left a place for another battery (which I may or may not get someday) and I need to pickup a couple of regular and EZ Lock cutting wheel dispensers and cut out holes for them in the foam...

I broke down and ordered that battery (I couldn't find it locally in the flea bag, one horse megalopolis I live in; mutter, mutter, mumble, mumble). I also bought the dispensers (locally, amazingly enough) for both styles of cutting wheels and made a place for them in the case.

IMG_0062.thumb.JPG.de2907f7a153d56269ce6e44db4c5a04.JPG

IMG_0064.thumb.JPG.d3187f45fe25916b3523bbad69d55108.JPG

The wheels just slide sdeways out of the dispnsers so I don't need to remove tjhe dispensers to remove wheels. I save used wheels inside the plastic box to use when I need to cut tight inside turns. I also keep grinding sleeves and polishing wheels inside the box. I still have plenty of room for anymore cutting bits and mandrels.

I recently bought a Pelican case to put my Ryobi Multi-tool body and the additional Ridgid JobMax tool heads I got for the tool body in....

IMG_0029.thumb.JPG.f6b586857a66c1615db6303079a61cab.JPG

...

I wasn't happy with how I had arranged everything inside the case. I didn't utilize the full depth of the foam in the case which didn't allow much room for anymore tool heads, let alone any cutting or sanding attachments for the muti-tool heads. So, I ordered some more of the pull-apart foam (they don't give that stuff away!) and started over. This is what I wound up with:

The bottom row, from the left, are the tool body, the jig saw head (the right angle impact driver head is right above), the new, improved, tool free multi-tool head, the allen wrench for the older multi-tool head, the old multi-tool head, a new rotary cutter tool head I didn't have in the last photo, and the power hammer head.

All my sanding, grinding, and cutting attachments for the muti-tool heads are all in the top area of the case. I now have room for far more attachments and tool heads.

When I made the printer stand to go over my new sub woofer, I could have used the old industrial belt sander my Daddy gave me decades ago (which is the size and weight of a boat anchor for the QE2, needed frequent oiling, and was a pain to clean up after using) and my perfectly good, but 120v, pad sander to sand the plywood prior to painting or I could get new toys sanders. I opted for new 18v sanders:

I loved the pad sander right out of the box; it's so much more convenient than having to find 120v and keep up with a power cord. Clean up afterwards was easy. My only complaint is one has to remove the battery to check the battery level gauge (bad design).

The belt sander had some issues. The belt is narrower (3") than any I had ever used before so I had some trouble keeping it flat while using it (and I've been using belt sanders off and on for over 50 years, including in cabinet shops).

I had trouble keeping the belt tracking properly (a common complaint in the reviews, btw). I finally found out that by over adjusting it and more tightly regulating the pressure used when sanding (basically, just using enough pressure to keep it flat) I was able to keep tracking under control. I've never had this much trouble with tracking with the ones I've used in the past.

Another problem was the front roller that tensions the belt didn't always return to the proper position after changing belts. I initially had to pry it back to get it to properly tension the belt. I finally figured out where it was hanging up, lubed it with some silicone spray (oil would attract sawdust), and worked it in and out a few times to free it up.

The trigger switch was also tricky at first until it wore in after some use.

Overall, after dealing with the "idiotsyncrasies" (sic), I was happy with the sander. Ryobi needs to work on the design some, though.

I love the dust bags on the two sanders. Usually, dust bags are a pain in the neck to empty and clean. These, however, are almost a joy to empty and clean. They have a zipper on the end that helps with emptying, then, while the zipper is open, I can blow out the remaining dust with my compact blower. Easy peazy.

Finally (yeah, I hear your sighs of relief), I bought some small medicine cases to put tool bits, etc. into. I've had one I've used for a few years to keep the bits I use in my impact drivers so I decided to get four more, one of which I'm going to store my jig saw blades in (I buy them on cards that keep them separated from each other so they are easier to find and won't get dull from knocking up against each other.

I'm waiting on some Torx bits I ordered to come in (the shipment got lost somewhere), then I'm going to take some of the Pull-apart foam I pulled from the two previous Pelican cases and put it in one of the boxes to use to corral and organize my impact driver bits.

I just got this yesterday, ordered a PSU for it which cost more than what I paid for the display itself. Going to test this awesome monitor and if it works put allot of effort in cleaning it. Got it for £50!
