you're just completely wrong on this one chief.

  1. Apparently you can get the FTW 3 and flash the Strix OC BIOS to take care of the power balancing. I wouldn't touch the 2x8 pin models. The pre installed waterblock is neat but I wouldn't buy a 2x8 pin model since 3rd party support basically doesn't exist (BIOS flashing and whatever else). Another alternative is the FE + block or any other 3x8 pin model + block. I'm fairly sure the warranty is violated. Although there's not much stopping you from replacing it with a new sticker or just carefully removing it in the first place. What ASUS doesn't know,
  2. If you really have to choose between either of these then it would have to be the Strix. EVGA ruined the FTW3. The power balancing issue kills the appeal.

I'm not in charge of that thread. Just post in it and someone will get round to it.

Mine is still going. Although the load it deals with now it's barely at half capacity as opposed to around 500W when I ran the GTX 980s. At least the PSU has a 10 year warranty though right?
  5. I don't think ASUS should be allowed to write software.

Nah, I'm totally fine with their BIOS level rootkit that's the only way to turn off the OLED screen on the mobo.

Until someone writes something better than Armoury Crate for any motherboard, I'll disagree.

It has one thing that never really got built for html5 though: flash games.  Gonna lose a lot of neat stuff.

Yup, some Flash games were good. But the time that I went to Flash gaming sites is, what, 10 years ago? I can't exactly remember.

Someone may convert the favorite flash games to html5.  Would be a labor of love.

Can't wait for it to be gone, since years every website has migrated to HTML5 anyway, so Flash has no use in my eyes anyway. It was useful once but that time ran out long ago.

      flash games tho, childhood nostalgia.

  6. What's the gig? I'm currently trying to complete most if not all of them before advancing to the final mission on my second play through.
  7. Since it's a non-A card, shunt mod it and send it to the moon. Or just settle for the Palit 310W BIOS. It's not that bad tbf.
  8. Tom's Hardware really has hit the shitter if they're posting garbage like this. A dust clogged, dried out card runs hotter and doesn't boost as much as a fresh one? What an eye opener! /s

  11. What does Afterburner or Precision X report as far as GPU temps are concerned? I've got a feeling it might be HWINFO being a bit silly. 50C+ for a GPU with a waterblock on it is concerning imo.
