On may 24th, 1970, a Russian research project started on the Kola Peninsula. The goal was to basically drill as deep as possible. The project was eventually abandoned in 2005 due to a lack of funding.

Several bore-holes were drilled, branching from a main hole. The deepest point was reached in 1989 and was at a depth of 12,262 meters, 40,230 ft for us Americans....that's 7.6 Miles...had to mention that because our units of measurement are not Base 10, and you need to do math to come to that conclusion.

ANYWAY

On that hole, they expected to reach a depth of 15,000 meters (49,000 ft) by 1993. Problem was, the temperatures at this depth were expect to be around 100c (boiling point), but ended up being almost twice that. Drilling past 12,262 meters was determined to be not possible , as the temperature would be at least 300c by 15,000 meters, and it would be too hot for the drilling equipment. Thus, this hole was abandoned in 1992. 

So for the good news

Screens- 3  ASUS VN248H-P IPS 1080p screens mounted on a stand, some old tv on the wall above it. 

Stuff- Epicgear defiant (solderless swappable switches), g600, moutned mic and other stuff. 

Laptop docking area- 2 1440p korean monitors mounted, one AHVA matte, one samsung PLS gloss (very annoying, yes). Trashy Razer blackwidow chroma...I mean like the J key doesn't click anymore. I got a model M i use on it to, but its time for a new keyboard. Some edgy Utechsmart mouse similar to g600. Hooked to laptop dock for both of my dell precision laptops. (not only docking area)

Shelf- i7-2600 non-k (has vt-d), 380t, some ASUS sandy itx board, intel quad nic. Currently hosts shared files, setting up as pfsense box in VM. Also acts as spare gaming PC with a 580 or whatever someone brings. Hooked into laptop dock area via usb switch

I just came up with scientific proof that there is a limit to how bad it can get.

ubisoft definitely has more money to do this shit than russian scientists.

The project was abandoned due to funding, but that was 13 years after the they reached the depth limit.

Read some Ubisoft related news and you'll share the sentiment. Basically it means they put themselves in a situation and keep making it worse and worse day by day.

Ubisoft is past that limit, they used liquid helium to cool down with the DLC money they earned, they are currently digging a crust that seperates hell and earth, ...
