Is that 1050 ti as small as it looks?    Are the fans loud or reasonably quiet?

Very small, Low Profile card. The fans are 5cm and from 1m I could not hear them in my PC.

And another one bites the dust...

IDK what LG did to the G4 but it seems like they die a fuckton. My dad had 4 or 5 die on him in a little over a year (majority of which were just when he got his first G4 and the first few replacements died shortly after), and now his SO's phone is failing too (hers likes to just turn off randomly).

This is why I'm apprehensive about buying LG products...I had a couple of LG phones before and they both died on me. A couple of my friends and my Uncle had LG TVs die shortly after purchase for no apparent reason (my Uncle's second replacement also died), and then there's the questionable QC on the G5 and bootloops on the G4. All these issues have worn down my confidence in LG considerably.

Part of me likes the look of the blower cooler and the other part likes instant gratification. Maybe I'll water cool someday.

The look is fine it's the performance I'd worry about.

I will admit waiting for the non-reference cards sucks.  lol

Well I'm not too worried about performance. And I got the EVGA one so I could do the step up thing to a proper cooler if I really don't end up liking it.

microsoft-xbox-360-wired-controller-for-

Gotta admit that I was not a huge fan of the Xbox 360 controller when I held it for the first time at my cousin's house a few years back. For me, a measure of a good controller is when I can just grab it and feel like I've had the thing for years. I did not have that experience with this. It felt downright weird in my hands. For contrast, when I held the DualShock 4 for the first time, it immediately felt right.

Still, there were numerous times when I wanted to play a game with a controller and it turned out that the game only supports the xbox 360 controller. There is software that I can use to remap my standard (DualShock 1) controller to work as an xbox 360 one, but I didn't want to have to do that every time and when I got Absolute Drift at a giveaway and found out that I need the xbox 360 pad again, I decided to finally just buy it and hope that I can learn to like it.

I looked around on Allegro (a polish equivalent of ebay) and found lots of auctions where the title would state clearly: "Microsoft Xbox 360 controller" but the photos clearly showed a fake, so to avoid disappointment, I searched the local electronics and computer stores. I couldn't find a single wired one (I disapprove of wireless controllers) so I decided to do something I'd never done before and order it directly from Microsoft's official store.

I'm still getting used to this thing. I'm having difficulty adjusting to the fact that my hands get really strained when I try to do the "dualie" hold so I have to only use my index fingers for the triggers. But I will give it a chance, maybe after I've gone through the learning curve it will feel better. I sure hope there's a reason why many people deem it the best controller ever made.

I modtly meant in terms of noise.  I think the reference coolers are louder.

As long as you're happy with it that's what is important though.  ?

Can it be considered a purchase when i exchanged it for a service? I got it in exchange for a format job on my aunt's laptop.

Its a 29' Inch Panasonic CRT! I was in need of a decent CRT with component inputs for my PS2, and i'm a big fan of Panasonic products in general, i'm very fond of CRTs as well.

It has a very powerful sound, lots of bass and depth, very good for a television alone. Weirdly it works with my Panasonic DS600 controller and my Denon RC-896.

I still have to find a definitive place for it, as of now it sits on my mother's drawer, weakening the MDF as hours go by.

I also got this restored Walrod Patrol steering wheel, very 80s:

And this big ass Chevy grille emblem:

The last two are for my truck.

Every time I wanna  watch a movie or listen to a audio book I just download them from My Pirate bay or You tube because I live in Switzerland and it's legal here.

You can take a look at all of the Tech that I own and have owned over the years in my About Me section and on my Profile.

I'm Swiss and my Mother language is Swiss German of course, I speak the Aargauer dialect. If you want to watch a great video about Swiss German which explains the language and outlines the Basics, then click here.

If I could just play Videogames and consume Cool Content all day long for the rest of my life, then that would be sick.

I finally decided to pull the trigger on what will be the case the refurbished system will end up in (not until I get a few more parts as I'll need to get power extension cables before I even bother transplanting any hardware plus I need to find an extra hard drive tray as it only came with two, and I need more then that).

And I can't finish without a few actual pictures of the case in question (which I actually got for less then what it's normally priced at as it was B grade stock).

The bearings on my Bitfenix Spectre Pros on my H110 were getting a little noisy, so I picked up a pair of Noctua NF-A14 Industrials to replace them.

Just picked this little mac up for £30 as he didn't have the power adaptor for it and didn't know it worked so got it:

The Good:

It WORKS absolutely fine, the Disk drive works and is in good shape :)

2017-03-17_14-10-14.jpg

The Bad:

Its the MacBook 1,1 aka the Core Duo Model (a 32bit ONLY CPU has no support for 64bit) so only runs up to 10.6.8 Snow Leopard which is slowly being killed off by everyone including Firefox which is gutting as this machine is actually a nice little computer but oh well it is 11 years old now.

The battery is a dead as my best friends marriage*, won't even show up as even being there so will have to replace that.

Had drive is slow as balls so will throw in a small SSD (Nothing to expensive) probs a 60/90gb one.

Only has 1GB of Ram so 2GB will be a must!!

Other than that all is good with the world!

*=Thumbs up if you know which tech youtuber I got that from hint adiblasi
