Well here we are guys, the end of the road for folding month 2021, thank you all for getting involved and I hope you guys have a good christmas and new year.

I don't know if any of y'all have had issues with sending in a few WUs but I've had a couple during the comp with 18201 being the most recent where it'll upload 5mb before quitting. I just noticed that it's been trying up upload it for 4 days now and is about to time out. No other problems with other projects on this machine or the others. Kinda sad it's such a waste of resources.

Nope, there have been only 2 times during the event where the F@H servers were struggling for an hour or so for me. Had about 370 18201 WUs in total during the event.

Restarting F@H / rebooting can sometimes help if connection repeatedly fails but if it's something with their servers it's just how it is.

Yeah good to know. I kinda figured it was a problem with their servers, internet routing, or something as I didn't see anything submitted by me in WU status. I restarted the client and then my server it's running on and neither changed anything. Routing wise they take the same path to the highland servers. Oh well who knows 🤷‍♂️

Sorry guys for not being around for the last update, I ended up sleeping over 15 hours again... I think this is the worst part of COVID for me, I just can't seem to get anything done... I hope it passes soon 

 

Anyway, it is amazing to see such high percentages of people who have got stuck in and hit the minimum requirements!

Believe me I can relate, I do that randomly anyway due to my Fibromyalgia, plus some days/weeks/months feeling tired/drowsy all day.  Its one reason I can't understand people not taking COVID seriously as those symptoms are no fun at all, never mind the breathing issues.

Yeah, same here. Finished a mega-WU early this morning, now I've got this:

(Already marked as "finishing" since I know it's not gonna get done before the deadline.) I might ramp it up to 12/12 threads after deadline tonight, after my GPU finishes. (I keep 2 threads free to feed the GPU, of course.)

started again but dont think it will finish its WU by midnight

If you limit it to 4, then you shouldn't get the large work units. I have the same CPU on one of my rigs and it cranks through them pretty well with just 4.  Works really well for just wanting to fold at night, set it to fold at night and finish in the morning... 

Not much of a Gamer….. But I have thing about F@H that may be a little over the top.   See my builds here

I'm only using AB to toy with it AMDs software seems to have it in for me... I only saw temp changes not PPD, I also gave the cores free roam on my computer which usually makes it unusable but it's doing fine. My card also has to run Winbloat 10 with 2 monitors one of which I have turned off.
