AMD genuinely doesn't have enough capital available to even approach Intel to buy them. It isn't gonna happen anytime soon, if at all.

Mini DSP SHD Studio -> 2x Mola Mola Tambaqui DAC's (fed by AES/EBU, one feeds the left sub and main, the other feeds the right side) -> 2x Neumann KH420 + 2x Neumann KH870

 

(Having a totally seperate DAC for each channel is game changing for sound quality)

I'm pretty sure the government will be after AMD in that case for breaking competition

No, lol. As already mentioned AMD can't buy Intel because of anti-trust laws. AMD and Intel have an X86-64 cross licensing agreement, neither company can buy each other.

Haha. AMD might have made a good product, but they are nowhere near as big as Intel is.

Beyond that, the market cap numbers are extremely misleading for AMD. Their valuation has nothing whatsoever to with their income right now. It has inflated to a point of absurdity and will eventually crash back down to something realistic eventually.

 

For reference, AMD made around $500 million last year in net income. Intel made over $22 billion. Equity numbers are similar and Intel’s profit margins are an order of magnitude higher (like 5x better).

 

Why the market has overvalued AMD so far out of the stratosphere is beyond me... I’m sure many people will learn some hard lessons soon enough.
