First thing I do on a new install is right click the desktop and hide all icons. 

 

Then I use programs so i'd never see the desktop anyway. There was a time when I was a kid that I thought that whole rainmeter thing was cool but then i realized when i'm actually using the PC, you can't see it anyway. I don't sit and stare at me desktop.

For my phone's wallpaper (Defqon.1 Weekend Festival - Sunday Funday), the left half is the lockscreen wallpaper, the right half is the desktop wallpaper

 

 

On my Windows desktop, icons are turned off, the taskbar on my main monitor is located at the top, whereas the one on my secondary monitor is located at the bottom, both with autohide enabled. I have the wallpaper's aspect ratio to perfectly span across both monitors

Shoutout to, who I hope I'm remembering rightly made some of the wallpapers that cycle in and out of my desktops. They're rarely consistent as it's a folder with currently 118 different backgrounds that change once every 30 minutes.

Here's a small sample of my collection, The LTT wallpapers I believe were done by FuzzyYellow. The rest of them are a random assortment of, mostly scenic nature, some concept art, some video game inspiration, and some cerakote jobs that I've had come through my old shop that I particularly liked.

I scored an Optiplex 360 for the low price of free. It's going to be the dedicated printer computer and media player for the kitchen, replacing a Sony Vaio tower from 2001. A C2Q, 2gb of RAM, and a 7200 rpm HDD should be a very welcome upgrade from that old thing.

Any thing I'm using get's left on the desktop, eventually it gets either deleted or moved to a slave.

 

Edit: The missus chooses the wall paper, current one was "because it matches your PC." Anytime I choose one she changes on me anyway.
