Yup my 2080S has been running WUs back to back for the past 6 hours or so. 1070 now working but got nothing for a couple of hours (and its first WU this morning was "not liked by the server")...

I am on it! Calculating estimated Tflops average for the past 24h based on the latest steam hardware survey, extreme overclocking stats and active users! Results looking promising so far. It will show GPU Tflops (90% of total PPD) based on a couple simple generalized assumptions.

My second system doesn't seem to be getting anything on the 980Tis.

I'll likely restart it soon to see if it'll get some.

We are most probably around 500-1000 Pflops. This is based off the fact that the folding at home network had been estimated at just shy of 100 Tflops and there has been a 10x increase in the number of active folders.

I have one WU that keeps failing (for like a day now) to submit but others have been going through without issue. Seems like that work server/collection server are down and won't ping at all. Hopefully it comes back so this one can be submitted.

Edit: Found a thread mentioning issues with that server in https://foldingforum.org/viewforum.php?f=18&sid=302d949301f5f9d680beada139ab8eed

I rebooted my one machine, and it instantly got WU's.

Although it also looks like previous stuck WUs are now being uploaded, but at a snail's pace. 24 hours for 74MB file

Yeah I've restarted the client a few times and restarted the PC. I'm not sure what's happening, it's really frustrating to lose all the stability I had before now that all these new people are joining. I'm getting to the point where I'm just going to give up, which is sad because this was a lot of fun prior to earlier this week.

don;t give up now! the team over at F@H are working hard to bring stable servers back online, and if you really want to do some work you can always install BOINC and do some COVID-19 related crunching on rosetta!

They've had a few false starts in terms of servers sending out work units for me, fell asleep to 100% usage across the board and woke up to silence

They're adding more capacity all the time, but the demand keeps growing.

It's kinda sad watching something like a Titan V sit idle because of lack of units. They're adding more and more thankfully.

Hopefully we get this bug squashed.

I just lost a bunch of points because Collection server kept DCing my computer. It took the GPU WU, but it took so long getting it sent to them I lost the QRB.

Why not have it set up to ping the server to let it know work is done, rather than just asking, "Hey, you want this yet?". Might actually represent the work that's being done, rather than the amount of downtime that's being lost.

8HR GPU WU and I got 900 points for it. The salt is real

If you are stuck on uploading, pause all folding, restart your computer, and hit 'fold' again.

I just did this and not only was it able to get a new GPU WU, but it also uploaded one that had been stuck on 100% all day.

Just tried that, and sadly this project still keeps failing. Something about Project 11758 just doesn't wanna get uploaded. The credits are depreciating as well it seems. :(

Also still no WU's for any of my GPUs, on two different systems.

yes that worked for me too.

I stopped after finishing current WU (on CPU) and restarted and I was able to finish my upload of the stuck GPU.

and I too am getting back to back work.

Alright my estimates are done! Took me longer than I assumed, basically I made a spreadsheet including 80 % of most common GPUs (Steam hardware survey Feb 2020, integrated graphics sorted out and only dedicated FAH-compatible GPUs accounted for) giving me a good representation among folders I think, GPU model percentages among steam users, gathered FP32 TFLOPS data (stock clocks for NVIDIA) for each GPU and the average of the active FAH users in the last 24 hours as of 03.19.20 03.19.20. Here are the results, also compared to the currently fastest supercomputer in the world. Assuming Extreme Overclocking active users number is correct, anywhere between 284 and 347 PFLOPS was produced through GPU folding alone (on average in a recent 24 hour period) not accounting for multi-GPU configs! This is the actual estimated GPU output close to reality. The potential output assuming unlimited, immediate delivery of WUs is probably several times higher than that so we will certainly see increases soon as new servers are being rolled out! You may use my Excel table to input the user number in the yellow field which will magically calculate output based on the input number. That way you can simulate any user number you like with the corresponding output and quit guessing in the dark.

@Valentyn @Victor Golf@minibois

FAH GPU output estimate 24h 19_03_20.xlsx

excel sheet sniplet.PNG

EDIT: Where do I find active users number without FAH stats??

Go to Extreme Overclocking --> teams --> hover over any team active users number and it will display a percentage. Divide number by showed percentage and multiply by 100 will give you total active user number. This is the workaround until the official stats page is up. E.g. 25650 / 34,13 * 100 = 75154 active users which you insert into the yellow box in the Excel sheet.

Lmao I wanted to include that but I forgot. Here in Europe it's the other way aorund so treat commas as decimal points and vice versa.

Even if I tried my german Excel won't let me use decimals instead of commas. 284 PFLOPS and 57 TFLOPS.
