You can actually carefully cut the end  out of the PCIe slot so it's backless and a GPU will slot in just fine and use x8. Can't damage any of the contacts, you just want to take out the small section that is enough for the PCB to fit in to so it can extend past the physical slot length. Other than that you can use a x8 PCIe extension/riser cable to x16.

I rather not do that to my server because if I damaged the pins I can fry it or it won’t boot with a missing riser card

It's been roughly 24 hours since I requested my passkey and still nothing.

 

Has anyone got a 2700X?
Right now both my cpu and gpu are sitting idle waiting for WU's, but earlier this morning my 2700X completed a WU and it was getting around 13k PPD. Can't help but feel this is kinda low for this CPU.

I tried the incognito mode for Chrome to fix the constant reloading page bug, but that didn`t work for me. I have worked around it by using Microsoft Edge (even though it brings a little bit of vomit in my mouth). That has worked flawless with no bugs.

I was able to get my passkey by sending a second request, it arrived almost inmediatelly

Hi,

 My passkey took closer to 48 hours to come through - because so many have been requested they are being treated as spam, so check your spam folder just in case. If it isn't in there, hang tight and it'll arrive eventually (they can be added at any time, so don't let it stop you folding for now).

 

I'm not 100% about the CPU, but I know mine (i7-6700K @ 4GHz) was considerably lower than my GPU (I actually had to stop it as it was getting too warm).

I find it amazing that if you hover over the profiles for the 'newest member' at the bottom of the home home they are consistently almost all looking at this thread! It really is beautiful!

Yeah, the response is quite amazing. I would support it with the daily F@H against Covid-19 Meme, but he forum does not allow me to upload images currently ;_;
