I doubt that will be able to push much, it's actually quite comparable to my ultrabook's cpu and I don't fold on that weak chip either. If you're dead set on folding with that processor but want to keep using the computer you'll have to change the number of available threads in the advance controls. I'm sure that xeon is more than capable of feeding a graphics card or two in folding though, assuming you have a gpu to spare

the computer is a server and pcie slots are 8x

It says the servier im on has ''Failed'' under ''Has CS''

THis is what seems to have happened:

Someone else completed the WU before I did and they got credit. So it seems like I have to wait for this to time out for a whole DAY before I can fold on the GPU again?

How can I dump this WU?

delete the slot and add it again, should be under configuration on advanced client

I completely understand, that is why I waited 8 hours but the WU is already completed so at least Im not waisting anything.

DONT skip one, because this will be wasted compute time/power and will cause additional stress to the servers. And thy are busted anyway

To have both your CPU and GPU folding at the same time you need to add slots for each. Go to the Slots tab then hit the "ADD" button. Then choose either the GPU or CPU button depending which one you want to add and click add down the bottom (you can leave the settings to default of -1). It should start downloading a new work unit, but obviously there's issues with downloading new WUs atm.

Not possible, duplicate WUs are not given. EVER.

 

You just got a WU that was stuck at your local machine and server couldn't receive it due to super high load on their servers (nothing you can do other then wait).

 

DO NOT DUMP WUs!

 

If it completed, the server will assign you new WU as soon as it can, and it will receive the done one AS SOON AS IT CAN.

Got it figured out, it just took a minute and I'm impatient as all hell, I'm lucky and got a CPU and GPU at the same time

You can actually carefully cut the end  out of the PCIe slot so it's backless and a GPU will slot in just fine and use x8. Can't damage any of the contacts, you just want to take out the small section that is enough for the PCB to fit in to so it can extend past the physical slot length. Other than that you can use a x8 PCIe extension/riser cable to x16.
