If that's how it's going to be I won't forget the deadline and I'll register us next year if nobody else does.

I would have done it but didn't wanna stop on anyones toes, i'm the folding team leader, I'm happy to do it next year if no one else does. 

 

if you can scrape together a way to monitor points i'd be happy to host an internal event so we can better utilise our resources and have prizes

Are your thoughts to follow the pent events as though we were registered or go our own direction entirely?

 

Unless they were events none of our team members have done before I don't see any easy way of distinguishing member current points from points earned during the pent. Unless someone wants to write down everyone's current points on a Excel Spreadsheet and subtract what they have from what they earned during the event. About the only cobbled idea I have outside of possibly relying on BOINC Stats somehow and their day/week/month points earned system in both scenarios there wouldn't be perfect accuracy.

I mean, when we run folding events we have a script that pulls stats, theres gotta be a way to do that for BOINC. 

 

And i was thinking of doing it alongside the pent, a way of offering rewards for people helping out and getting more people involved, much like the folding events. The onlt difference would be the fact that we are using it to boost the numbers we have for the pent next year

I am very programming illiterate. I don't have the scripting expertise for something like that.

 

I can see we have virtually no activity in Universe@Home or NumberFields@home. Tracking new points there shouldn't be hard. PrimeGrid does have a fair bit of activity unfortunately but other than using a spreadsheet I have no idea how we could go about tracking points.

Spreadsheet would work fine, or get someone to build a database, I also have no programming skills but we've got a year to work out how we want to do it.

I've worked with MySQL before but how I would import username and statistic values from a webpage is where I would be completely lost. Wouldn't mind exploring learning how though.

 

So we plan to skip this year entirely? My thought was we're cobbling something together to partake in this year then going back to the usual registration next year.

...I don't understand. A team to help design it? It shouldn't require a team. Depending on the skill level of an individual it's a one man job.

You're always better off with a team, 3-4 people then if anyone drops out you can move forward

Then it's something that's going to have to wait. I really don't have the time right now to invest in a tool that simplistic and basic especially if it won't be used for a year and may not even be used in a year.

Theres nothing to say it wouldn't be used before then. I would love to give the BOINC community some love with a crunch-a-long event like we have for folding events. The more people we can get into Community compute the better off we all are

It appears that WCG has fixed the website issues  and is on-target for launching:

"The revised date for launch will be May 24th, 2022, after Victoria day."

 

I'm sure our "cousins" to the South will have to look up what "Victoria Day" means while in Canada we know that as the "May two-four" after the typical bottle count of a case of beer.

Having spent the better part of my life in Upstate NY and a residency through McGill's Hospital, I am well acquainted with Victoria Day

WCG is almost ready to start again. It seems they are going to miss the May 24th target date in favor of more testing. "Sometime later this week" seems to be what they're trying to say.

since I created my accout for Boinc via Primegrid and I can't find team contribution there here via a very annoying way.

It says that I currently (29.05.2022) have a contribution of 0.00449% to the total score of LTT Team. LTT Team has 45,551,298,584.26 points so
