Drivers or Geforce Experience won't install before and after DDU

My friends PC was crashing in valorant every 2 minutes and gave the error graphics driver not updated. So i tried to walk them through updating their graphics drivers.

first we tried downloading the latest drivers from nvidia. tried to do an express installation and it failed then we tried a clean installation and it failed

then i tried to get geforce experience installed and that failed. then i gave get an old version of geforce experience and that failed.

they all failed without an error code, it would get to like 40% installed and then say failed to install and no addition info.

 

So given that driver issues were causing valorant to crash i thought the drivers got corrupted so i had them install DDU and remove nvidia drivers and reboot.

After that we tried installing the drivers again and it still didn't work. we tried geforce experience and it also failed.

 

We tried nvidias troubleshooting guide that makes sure nvidia stuff isn't installed and nothing was installed. we tried restarting and installing still failed.

 

we then tried NVCleaninstall. we tried the newest and older driver with both clean and express install and still nothing.

 

I'm kind of lost on what to do next.

it didn't work. they also tried reseating the graphics card,  retrying ddu without the internet plugged in and other stuff. she has a 960 she can try testing with but if that doesn't work she will probably reinstall windows all together

What's the exact model and make of the card?

she ended up just reinstalling windows to fix the issue.
