Don't lump me in with them. I'm an enthusiast of mechanic design, be it engines, weaponry, or productive machinery. Not a guy with a wrench that reads the marketing garbage AFE/insert other "enthusiast" brand that can't legally warranty half of their products.

I fail to see a correlation between people screeching variations of "forced induction is more efficient!!! Reclaimed energy!!!" and anything I've said.

If you can't be civil. Please leave

Edit. That goes for everyone in the thread

Now, I'm all for a nice Mazda, but you seriously need a new set of wheels.. Those are too chrome, at least for my taste. Everyone to their own though. Sweet car nonetheless  :)

Thanks.  Yeah I actually have a set of gun metal Work Emotion CR Kai's, which I will probably slap on in April.  Those chromer's came with the car, I just left them on because they had a more flush offset compared to stock.

Awesome!  :D  Kai's are definitely in my top 10 for favorite wheels on a Japanese car. Nice pick.  :P What size are they?

Have you bought that car recently? asking since you still had previous owner's wheels.

I think that car is sexy as hell, and I'm suckish with car specs and brands but according to Barnacules, his Subaru is pretty good.

The one on the top has the 2.5L turbo engine from the 2009-2014 WRX and the bottom one a 2.0L turbo engine from I-don't-know-where.

Yep they own Ferrari, they aren't currently planning to sell off a controlling stake though.

Personally I feel uneasy about it, combined with the departure of Luca Di Montezemolo, I worry what direction the road car line up might take. The naturally aspirated V8 in the 458 is up for replacement with a turbo unit next year :(  The V12s could be next.

For the weekly discussion topic of "Favorite engine type"- Inline six and eight, older tuned SOHC or DOHC inline fours and V4's, V8's large and small but I find smaller displacement ones more interesting. I don't mind boost but I don't like turbo's as I feel they ruin the exhaust note I prefer superchargers much much more. As to why I can't explain why I like the idea of an Inline 6 or eight over the idea of a V6 or V8 they just seem far more interesting, V6's are a big meh for me and don't generally hold my interest much. The same is true for modern Inline fours I think they all sound the same and are quite boring. Engine types that I dislike the most are boxer engines, I hate the sound they make it's not pleasant in any way. I also don't like battery powered cars that don't come in a cardboard box.

I saw a nice Audi R8 Spyder yesterday.

I've seen a few and they are pretty good looking in person and they're rather small. Would be my pick for an everyday supercar.
