Its literally jist marketing to make you pay more.

 

Its not like a regular router is suddenly gonna suck for gaming.

 

20 devices is easy enough for almost anything.

"Gaming router" is just marketing fluff. At best, they dress up QoS settings as "gaming performance enhancement" and slap some RGB LEDs onto it.
