I am an employee of Private Internet Access that has recently been threatened by PIA/London Trust Media ownership due to some major management issues and I want to share some truth about Private Internet Access before I quit the company.

All customers should know some fun facts about PIA and I will reveal some fun facts very often moving forward even after “Rasengan” orders for his sweatshop workers to ban me from this reddit. He will learn very quickly that it’s impossible to stop the truth from coming out.

Today’s fun facts :

1) On an average of 1-2 times per week, Rasengan also known as Andrew Lee , threatens his staff at London Trust Media and Private Internet Access ; suggesting that if they do not pick up the pace and develop applications at record breaking speeds , they will be fired without any additional pay.

His staff is the reason that PIA makes him so much money but he claims they do not complete nearly enough work whereas he is firing valuable company assets nearly every other week.

Andrew Lee’s employment agreement which will also be publicized in a future “fun fact” explicitly disallows his employees from having a career doing any type of development that is even remotely related to networking technology. He also attempts to offer a one time payout sometimes during the “firing” process which states that employees will refrain from sharing anything in relation to their experience at Private Internet Access after leaving the company. This includes sharing any information about data leaks , government requests for data , application leaks, company drama , margins, etc.

2) Andrew Lee and the Private Internet Access management recently raised prices because Andrew Lee needed money to fund his ridiculous financial commitments. These commitments include spending millions of dollars buying a nightclub brand known as provocateur which is run by Bryan Gefter.

Later we will expose official information which will prove our facts and in turn you will be able to see how much profit he makes every single month.

It’s ridiculous that users need to suffer because of his addictions and bad business decisions. Mini fun fact : everybody on the 3 year plan Andrew Lee made to get a quick cash injection, actually doesn’t have access to the same quality product as those with a normal monthly subscription.

I will stop there for now. This is happening for one reason and only one reason Andrew Lee. When we work hard to support the Private Internet Access users through developing great desktop apps or managing servers at odd hours during the night, we don’t need to hear you bark in the morning and threaten us because you have some money from when you contributed to the mt gox bitcoin FRAUD. Oh yes, we know you support Mark K because he gave you a ton of bitcoin to play ball with.

If you continue to treat us like garbage, more of the truth will come out and you’ll also have to answer about if you have ever compromised customer data or not!

But I think its oversaturated, as always with such stuff

This is a non compete clause and is quite standard in business.

So... Management is shit and corrupt? How is that news, that's how it is in nearly every company.

If you, as an employee, find that your employer is doing something wrong, just issue a complaint anonymously to the authority body in charge of workplace safety or whatever it's called in your country. Doing an "exposé" like this is just a good way to make sure you never find a job in the industry ever again.

The only real issue listed is the allegation that 3 year subscriptions get worse service.  Should not be hard for LTT to benchmark.

Honestly very little substance here.

 

tl;dr - PIA owner is a shit bloke to work for. The 3 year plan has (claimed) degraded services compared to monthly plans.

PIA is based out of a 14 eyes country so you can damn well be sure all your data is being forked over. I’d suggest a smaller VPN with a canary watch.

As a PIA user, I may have to cancel my subscription and move to NordVPN. I do not want to be supporting a company whose management forces this kind of behavior.

Iirc it's based out of a 5 Eyes country (UK based) so I really wouldn't use it.

b) I don't really care if any of it is true.  I don't use PIA because I simply don't trust them, both because of the people involved and because of the jurisdiction they're in.

Right now they may not store any data (assuming that this is still true), but as soon as the government gives them a gag order telling them to start storing data and/or forwarding it directly to the intelligence agencies, you're pretty much screwed.  And the worst bit is that you'll only find out about it if someone decides to become the next Snowden. 

That's why anybody who cares about privacy should avoid any VPN in a 5 eyes country, or a 14 eyes one for that matter.

so far this is only stories with little proof, literally anyone could add into this story with heavier rumors. if true , these allegations can amount upto mismanagement,employee  abuse & fraud depending on flipping company finance for personal gain & so. they better have some proof to back it up for all these allegations soon, otherwise one can only read this as a salty made up smear shit by an employee against his boss.
