It says it can bring new life to a old computer and even make it faster then new one at times, would love to see a review on it

 

Edit: I feel like some people may not know I believe it is a waste money (and everything else)  I just thought it was funny

its really useless unless all you do is surf the web... doesnt even help with gaming

Don't know why you would buy it, just put lubuntu on your pc and call it a day.

The advertisement material is clearly aimed towards the less computer savvy. What they are selling can with very little difficulty be done by most people on this forum. But to their target audience, it could take all week and still end up a mess.

what they are selling is something barely anybody at my school knows how to use... only a few people know what the bios is, and even less know how to get there....

I WILL find your ITX build thread, and I WILL recommend the SIlverstone Sugo SG13B

 

Primary PC:

i7 8086k - EVGA Z370 Classified K - G.Skill Trident Z RGB - WD SN750 - Jedi Order Titan Xp - Hyper 212 Black (with RGB Riing flair) - EVGA G3 650W - dual booting Windows 10 and Linux - Black and green theme, Razer brainwashed me.

Draws 400 watts under max load, for reference.

 

How many watts do I need? ATX 3.0 & PCIe 5.0 spec, PSU misconceptions, protections explained, group reg is bad

It's linux on a usb stick and performance is dependent on the speed of your usb port. I doubt ancient computers will have usb 3.0, and that flash drive can reach a sustained read/write of at least 100Mb/s.

Wait what do you mean? I thought downloading RAM was a viable option when your PC is slowing down a bit, no?

You know that you can make similar thing in home for free?

Just simply download linux .iso file, using rufus write it onto usb stick, and boot from it on your computer.

One of the Linux distributions (of course free) peppermint is addapted to work on old slow computers.

Check it out here https://peppermintos.com/

Otherwise you can download other Linux distributions, they nearly always have lower minimum requiraments than windows.

For example my favourite one:

Because the kinds of people this is marketed towards are the same people that would have no idea what any of what you said means. It's for computer illiterate people.
