New LTT Branding

So I was scrolling through Twitter before and noticed that the branding on the LTT Twitter account had been updated with a new logo and header.

I personally like it but judging by the replies people aren't a fan.

that was a twitter banner, the alignment makes sense so the avatar doesn't cover it in mobile.

It took me a while to realise that it actually said LTT, but I like the overall design they were going for, but i agree it's a bit too busy

I mean, did they have to throw in the purple? The banner looks like something I could make in Canva.com in 10 minutes. If you ask me, they should do what Bitwit did and host a graphic design competition for ideas at least.

I saw the 'LTT' in the logo immediately, it is such a nice composition. The color scheme I'm not such a fan of, but I'm sure the team has their reasons. The banner is quite modern too, although I'll admit I do miss the retro old-school banner a bit more. The orange boldness is what makes LTT, well, LTT.

I get where they were going with this though - very warm colours, almost like a sunset. But I am in no way a professional graphic designer. My extend is cinema 4d lol.

I'm not a fan of the font that they chose for the banner, although it could be because it's all uppercase now rather than lowercase.

I have the same opinion, lowercase was sweet and inviting as a tech company. All uppercase makes it look somewhat corporate and to me, it makes it lose its original touch.

I think it's also the fact that they've added spaces. It just seems too wide now, the old one was very compact

The banner imo is kinda fine
but the logo is a mess

A good logo needs to be : 
1. Simple (not "minimalistic" like people like to say nessesarly. but not overly complicated either.)
2. Recognisable
3. Able to stand the changing design eras/styles(edited)

the old one had all 3
the new one has nothing.

sorry to be harsh, but otherwise you won't know the truth.

ALSO : 
Other than the colors, the banner and the logo don't match.

There's no recuring lines, no similarities other than the colors
and that's just not enough

I like the banner, but the logo is way to busy. I prefer the old branding over this. This simply isn't the kind of work I'd expect from a professional graphic designer. Just my opinion though, it couls be what the LTT guys were going for.

I'm personally really in love with the new artwork for the channel and Twitter. Loving the mixture of purple with the LTT orange

So keeping with the same style as the design, this is what I came up with.

It's a little rough around the edges, but I personally think it looks better.
