First off i'm running an ASUS ROG Crosshair VII X470 Wifi motherboard using an Nvidia 1080 and i have a Samsung 970 Pro 1TB Nvme M.2 drive. Now over the past few days i've been reading things and watching videos on Youtube that states if u set both PCI E 16X Slot which has the Nvidia 1080 and the first M.2 Port using the Samsung Nvme from AUTO LINK settings to Gen 3 it should function faster. Before i start making changes to the Bios i'm just wondering what people think about this? Thanks.

Stock Ryzen 5 3600 that runs hot
Jimkirk363 replied to FeralSparky's topic in CPUs, Motherboards, and Memory
What thermal paste u using? What case r u using? People forget there's more to cooling a cpu in a case than just the CPU Cooler. -
Edmond those were the days.

Upgrade from Ryzen 7 2700x to Ryzen 9 3900XT
Jimkirk363 replied to Jimkirk363's topic in CPUs, Motherboards, and Memory
The 81*c was when i was using CINIBENCH R20 to test CPU. Ive been told these CPUs can hit 95*c. -
Have u tried putting some sort of cooler on it?

AMD Ryzen 7 3700x running way too hot
Jimkirk363 replied to VibeChecker's topic in CPUs, Motherboards, and Memory
I have the 2700x and was forced to get an AIO as the fan supplied with it wasnt upto the task of cooling it hitting 85*c while gaming. -
X570 and Zen 3 Bios Concerns
Jimkirk363 replied to TheWrithingVoid's topic in CPUs, Motherboards, and Memory
I have an X470 board and i also wonder if AMD will release a BIOS upgrade for this board. -
Are my 3700x overclocks normal?
Jimkirk363 replied to MrSushiGaming's topic in CPUs, Motherboards, and Memory
@MrSushiGamingFirst off there is no "Normal" overclock as every chip acts differently. Secondly u should NEVER overclock on a stock cooler.
