the reason im going for that kit is because someone on facebook marketplace is selling it at a lower price and has never used it
It is for a gaming pc at the moment
the reason for the b580 is because eventually become a server pc

the plan is to eventually make a high end gaming pc and transfer the ram over and run the one im building now as a server for multiple things

Technicallt the ram should work. Its ddr5. You WILL have to run it at much lower speeds than 8400 however.

So I have most of the components for my computer and the last thing I need is the RAM.
The ram I am looking at is:  G.Skill Trident Z5 CK 48GB (2 x 24GB) DDR5 RGB 8400MHz CL40 CU-DIMM RAM

I have seen someone get the ram and it comes with a sticker that says *For Intel Z890 only*
The down side is that bought the Asus TUF B860M Plus WIFI
I am wondering if  I get the ram will I be able to use it with the motherboard I bought

Ah, you're right. I see a B-line chipset and my mind goes straight for AMD. Anyway... The G.Skill website is quite clear on this:

This kit is designed specifically for the Z890 chipset. I've never seen a more concise QVL list than this. Don't buy it, or go for one of these motherboards.

It can work but NOWHERE near those speeds at all.

Any reason you are getting that kit? Even right now thats very expensive for a 48gb kit.

Is this a gaming pc?

Bit of a mismatch a b580 in a system like this
