Unlike many other people here, I actually don't think the new LTT logo looks that bad, only I'm not a fan of the colours, which is why I do prefer the Tide one. The right logo might be something in between the two, perhaps a logo with more "basic" colours like the Tide, and the overlapping effect of the current new logo.

Wait, is that actually your graphics designer hiding in plain sight?

 

It works. Colors could do more, like background less bright or even transparent. It might even work with extra ring.

I've voted yes based on the banner but the new logo is too mad. It needs simplified a lot.

No, not a fan of the new branding.

 

It's just way too busy, and it's so complex it ruins the instant brand recognition they previously had. The new colors aren't even a problem to me, it's just the design itself.

The thing is that gradual change is taken in much easier than just saying "scrap it, we do as we like". The way LTT has evolved has been gradual. If they would just stop making videos about anything else but laptops and phones, people would get furious. But gradually moving away from PC hardware has worked and even been better.

 

I'm not against them changing things. Like making new intro or changing logo. But I'm very vocal when something they do is messing with my eyes. Like back when they did PSU unboxing on black cloth. What is worse than show off black cables on black background?

2nd one is my fav imo
but perhaps a more. contrasted gradient ?
like. the darker orange.. darker..
its a bit harder to make it out depending on the monitor.

(as in, can't tell weather its my monitor acting funny or not)

Also, orange and purple is a strong and popular color combination.

One issue some people have noticed, and I agree with, is that the current refresh logo isn't strong enough when viewed as an icon alongside other channels/brands. When you look at a feed/list/wall of channel portrait icons, it doesn't stand out.

 

It's important to be able to filter out the useful feedback and not just dismiss negative reactions as just being blind hate.
