What’s the worst part of your rig?

MeltyMoon

Probably that I have a 1080ti and I'm using a 1080p/60fps monitor.
When I bought the 1080ti I was planning on buying a new monitor as well, and there was a lot of discussion at the time about 4k144hz monitors being released soon, so I didn't want to drop $1000+ on a Gsync 1440p144hz monitor with 4k/144hz supposedly just around the corner. They kept getting delayed and delayed, and now with my current financial situation I can't really justify the cost of a decent monitor at the moment.

My FX 8350 cpu. Slow and heats up pretty hard in the summer, not to mention the power. Also lost the silicon lottery.

The fact that it restarts if i move anything or tap the case too hard..  It's a first gen Ryzen build and case too, someday I'll take it apart and rebuild.

My worst part of my rig is my broken Thermaltake - Smart Pro RGB 850W 80+ Bronze Certified Fully-Modular ATX Power Supply that's apparently broken. I'm probably just going to return it and get a new one.

The fans on my Corsair H110i GTX, unbelievably loud, you have no idea, if it is at more than 70% speed then you better reach for a pair of earmuffs! My 1U rackmount server from 2004 with Delta fans is quieter and that says a lot lol. My H110i GTX also struggles to cool my 6700K, 85C - 95C when under AIDA64 FPU stress test.

the memory.

Only have shitty Micron DDR4-2400 RAM for my Ryzen 7/1700x.

And of course the SSD. Because there is none. It died and I haven't replaced it (yet)...

reseat the block and apply just a bit of paste, make sure the backplate isn't loose

and please set the fans to 600 RPM, 1000 if ambient temp is 30C +

The chassis, when I built my PC I went out with a really cheap case, no slot for SSD and really bad cable management.

Maybe I wish I had 16GB RAM, other than that I'm pretty happy with my build.

the 128GB Sandisk SSD. the plastic for the SATA power is broken, so the plug is just hanging on the pins right now :P

also, i kinda wish i got a monoblock instead of the EVO TR4. especially if i ever want to get a 2nd gen threadripper in there.

The case .

I'm still rocking my corsair spec 03 case that i bought for 35$ in 2015 . Cable management and flexibility are poor , and i had to take the angle grinder to it. And because of poor airflow i don't have my side panel on.

I have done that, and it’s all done correctly. I just think that I didn’t exactly get the best unit. I put a small blob in the middle and let the cooler spread it out. Unfortunately I did use a cheap white compound but that is all I had and I might try again with a quality paste. It runs fine otherwise, just a little hot.

My mouse and keyboard, I have a wireless Logitech mouse that I don't even remember the model number of, and a nameless membrane keyboard.

My monitor is also only 1600x900, but it is at 75Hz.

I only have 320GB of HDD space total, and only 8 gigs of DDR3 1333MHz

One of my rigs has a 4790K with a stock Intel cooler on it. It's not a recommended pairing and will soon be replaced.

The worst part of my rig is also the best one - because it was my first LC attempt I keep looking at it more often than I need "just in case", expecting a tube to disconnect from the fitting or some other unexpected shit ;-)

My desk is so old it came off of a ship that had sail (not a joke either. It's an antique)

While that might sound awesome, it's not a computer desk. It's big enough but the way it's constructed precludes the use of a monitor arm.

Also has very little legroom.

desktop:
keyboard. I type on romer g

albeit better quality romer g. using them in store, they feel like shitty membranes, but mine feels much different from them, weird. I much prefer MX blues but I won't be replacing my G910 until it dies.

laptop:
GPU. dGPU (MX150 non maxQ) is only slightly faster than Intel UHD 620, getting about 1k points in 3D mark.

laptop 2:
cooling. it can't take the  heat of the i5 2410m. it's supposed to take the heat of both a i5 2410m and gt 540m under load

battery, as there is none.

laptop 3:

the GPU. Intel GMA 950 is fucking useless. There is no fixing this, CPU rendered graphics is usually what it uses.

Ryzen 5 3600 stock | 2x16GB C13 3200MHz (AFR) | GTX 760 (Sold the VII)| ASUS Prime X570-P | 6TB WD Gold (128MB Cache, 2017)

Samsung 850 EVO 240 GB

138 is a good number.

Even though I have a 1440P, I have to say my monitor as well.  Considering it starting to show issues, unless I can figure out how to correct the issue.  But, probably need to update it since its only hookup is a dual DVI.
