All complaints about moderation that I have been made aware of have either been completely unfounded or the result of misunderstandings or miscommunication, but if there was a case of moderator abuse then we would consider that to be a serious problem, and deal with it accordingly.   C

I think that's what it is. Reddit is blocked, but some other  "forum" sites aren't. I know for a fact our IT department uses Discord.

Then they obviously don't pay attention to our histories. I'm on here way more at work than I am at home. I know a couple people have hunting ones they're on very regularly too.  I've had IT remote in while I've got this site up on a screen in focus.

I've never got the point of running such strict filters in a workplace, ether everyone cares enough and does their work and you don't worry about someone listening to music or you pay people badly and they don't care. I get the limit it to SFW but other than that its stupid.

Don't get me started on those out here. For those who don't know, I work in mining. I run the underground warehouse down here. Remote man camp. It's a bus to a boat to a bus to town, about 90 minutes in all or so depending on weather. Everyone has to be 18+ on site. Normal work rotations are 14 days with 14 off. Yesterday at 4 o' clock (16:00) day time that happened to Norway too.. (All covid restrictions were removed..) Entire country went out to drink and about 60 to 70% of all alcohol at my local store went GONE in a matter of few hours.. Me on the other hand just watched alcoholics watch their favorite brand of beer at our store get swalloved up whole.. Kinda weird, but also kind of funny seeing people FIGHT over beer and alcohol as if this was the apocalypse ending or starting.. Jesus christ ive never seen my neighboors been this kind of stupid.

 

But oh well, covid restrictions is gone and more than half our country is vaxed so.. Maybe were not entirely fucked 🙃

It's times like there where I just laugh at mining. Equipment snapped the bell housing. I ordered a new one. We "modified" a starter and then shimmed it with washers to get by for a week or two...

I'm not actually trying to be as grumpy as it seems.

You should see the things I did to sound equipment to make it work for a hour.

Funny story on that one. We have a yearly calendar. Worker submitted pictures. Job says I have to wear boots with metatarsal guards, high vis vest, mine belt with my W65 and a brass on it with my name on it, hard hat and safety glasses. HR was not impressed the year we submitted a picture of me running a jackleg wearing just that. To be fair, I was facing away from the camera so it wasn't really NSFW. 

Always funny to see that in my write up file.
