@vetali @byalexandr looks like there is a breather on the transmission. 

So I guess this means he should change his MTF:

two feet of water is way too much. thats pretty much at intake level right there. you don't even need to be driving through deep water to hydrolock your engine. a splash from another car is enough.

wow. I guess it depends on the intake design but that's good to know... geez. 

I've had vehicles pass me and shoot walls of water at me lol. guess i've been lucky. But like I said... intake design probably has a lot to do with it. 

 

I mean look at this it does actually look like this would get water in it pretty easily...

i mean you probably just thought it was awd like every other hot hatch on the market. but this was pre-awd hot hatch. i think it basically somewhat started the 5 door hot hatch trend we have today.

First two weren't a thing in America during the first decade of the 2000s, Aeros were more wagons to me than hatchbacks, but they could technically count. But the MS3 introduced in 2006 (or was it 07?) and it kinda started a hot hatch trend in America.

Yeah I know. I'm going to do a full fluid change, might as well. I should check the air filter too, it's probably soaked in water, no good for my sweet, sweet turbo.

and probably noticed it too. a tiny amount of water will cause hesitation and stumbling.

How did it get both front and rear damage?.. seems fishy considering it's only the bumpers/crash bars.

Import taxes are that bad here in Portugal for higher displacement (2671cc isn't that much, so, imagine a V8 or something like that) and older cars... Oh, and high emissions. Those don't help either.
