First time to post on this thread, I just want to ask why is it that are very few countries driving right hand drive cars unlike the rest of the world using left hand drive?

Its a trip computer trick. It resets with every refueling and if you dont immediately drive the car, the idling counts as accelerated fuel consumption.

IMO, manufacturers should stop (or significantly decrease) funding to ICE development and put way more time/effort into EV tech.

I find it interesting that the Japanese B6-ZE(RS) engine which is a 1.6L engine for the 2001-2005 miata's/mx-5's in Japan, actually made 120hp which is nearly as much as what the 1.8L engine produced here.

But man looking at wiring diagrams for the cars that used that engine... completely different from the 1.8 cars. It's crazy... it may as well have been a completely different model of car!

mmmmm no. automakers should try to band together and find a much cleaner fuel that can basically be a direct replacement for gasoline (like you can use this fuel in old classic cars with pretty much no modification) and give off little emissions.
